Hey look, an actual LJ-post!

So on Wednesday I had a job-interview for a possible promotion; I've only been working here since March and had even surprised myself by applying for a senior-position:) Getting invited for an interview was already a boost to my confidence (not that I needed that *grins*). I had a great talk with the supervisor and projectleader and after that I had to answer questions about potential on-the-job situations with two other supervisors. I enjoyed all of this a lot and felt that I really got to present myself exactly as I am.
I was not surprised I didn't get the job and I honestly don't feel bad about it at all, since the whole process was already fun to go through and a great opportunity to let management be aware that I'm ready for more:) On with my regular job which I already love so much!

Today I'm busy with preparations for my family's Sinterklaas celebrations. If you're curious how we celebrated this Dutch holiday in previous years check my Sinterklaas tag for picspams of arts & crafts and family-fun:)

Heehee, I was squeeing so hard when I heard Jeffrey Dean Morgan say he will be celebrating Sinterklaas too, in his hometown of Rhinebeck, NY, I even forgave him for thinking it's a Swedish holiday;) *ruffles his hair* (He should have read the Hudson Valley website on the subject:)
Jeff talked about this and HIS WHOLE fanfiction perfect LIFE in his radio interview with -ugh- Howard Stern, in which he was a complete gentleman, even though HS had some very gringeworthy and sexist questions. There are some audio-clips here. (If you're interested in the full 55 minute interview, let me know, I have audio of the whole radioshow and I'm working on extracting just the JDM part:)
Another awesome JDM fangirling opportunity: last week he co-hosted Live with Kelly and he was dorky and charming and giggly and UNF: sit down for this 40 minutes video (also with Tim Daly <3 and Diego Luna, they are all such dads:)

TO-DO
After all the Sinterklaas fun, I'll make a presentation post of all the awesome quicky_bang artwork from round 2. Then I'll work on my Xmas/New Year's cards (If you want one, leave your address here before next weekend!) and then AND THEN..., THEN it's time for my collaboration with sinfulslasher for spn_reversebang. She already sent me a fic set up inspired by my prompt and I AM SO GIDDY ABOUT THIS \o/

I knew you'd be on top of the JDM stuff - I watched some of the Kelly show but confess only got about half way through as I found her really annoying. JDM, on the other hand, was ridiculously gorgeous and cute.

:-p Well, he is just so damn delightful and yummie;)

I don't mind Kelly, but if you got annoyed by her, I don't know if you can deal with Stern, because that guy is seriously gross. I was very pleased (and proud) that Jeff didn't go down to his level, but was as awesome as I hoped he would be. <3 (Gosh, I love his giggle)

Go you for doing the job-interview. It's always nice to get an experience like that that you can take with you. Also good to let management know you're up for other things.

Hope preparations for Sinterklaas are going well. :)

It was a really good experience :-)

I stayed up until 01:30 to finish on surprise and work on poems (and then wrote to more on the train to Den Haag;) but it was all well worth it; we had a great pakjesavond! (There will be a picspam later)

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT RB \o/ I'm so happy I joined in again!
