Dear flist, I am not ignoring you, in fact I was very excited about all the comments and mail you left me, but in between avoiding spoilers and working overtime, my internetconnection broke down, so I wasn't able to return the love. I'll make it up to you, I promise.
So here's an update on last week: the good, the bad and the ugly (you decide which is which;)
Thursday: in the evening my brother came by on a surprise visit and even though I bombarded him with bad cooking (Sillie, we are *so* going out for fries;) and loads of fangirlish artwork, I think we had a good time. We ended up in the attic for a mini-marathon of Buffy. We are almost finished with Season 3 now, so sad, but yay for Angel's bedhair (in EarShot, when Buffy is trying to read his mind). Those were the days.
Friday: on the bus I sat in front of this guy, who obviously hadn't changed his clothes in -ehm- a while (two weeks? a month?? two months???). Every time he moved there was this whiff of 'yuck' floating in my direction. Not a good way to start the day.
And it got worse. I was overloaded on work and again I wasn't able to start on the project of doom that is due at the end of next week: three books of about 40 pages each that have to be designed from scratch (aka 'the pile of poo the client handed me') Grumble. So I worked until eight and then decided to take the rest of the thing back home. Got home around nine: no connection, ergo no mail, no internet, no fun. [insert dutch curseword with lots of G's in it] I called the provider and I will not repeat that conversation here (but it's in my original blog) but suffice it to say that I spent the rest of my evening playing loud music. Sorry neighbours.
Saturday: this morning I dreaded reconnecting my cable-modem, but my demanding tone on the phone last night had worked its magic and: hi there *waves* I'm back!
Right now 'Toe Tags' is coming my way and I will catch up with everyone soon.
But first I'm going to 'Zwartboek' -the new (dutch!) movie by Paul Verhoeven- with my mom. The rest of the weekend will probably be spend glued to the screen, either in the attic (CSI) or behind the computer (more CSI *g*)
