This is my life: Monday
Oct. 23rd, 2006 11:27 pmDid I ever just give a description of my days? I don't remember, so that's what I'm gonna do this week. Here is part 1 of the series 'My boring fascinating every-day-life'...
On weekdays I get up at 6.45 a.m., today my CD-player woke me up with Cake - Prolonging The Magic (first song: Satan Is My Motor). During breakfast I watch the early morning news on RTL4 presented by the guy who proofs not all gay men know about colours and fashion: Mr. Jan de Hoop. His choice of shirts and sweaters brightens up my day:)
I leave the house around 7.45: I cycle to the busstop to catch the 08.02 bus to work. It takes about 45 minutes to get there. (I officially work from 8.54 to 17.06 (5.06 p.m.;) minus breaks that's 7 hours and 12 minutes which adds up to exactly 36 hour per week.)
Today was a good day: there was cake because of Damon's birthday (Sunday). I'm in charge of presents and I scored big time with a poster of Tony Montana (Scarface-Al Pacino) on a dollar bill. He also liked the comicbook (Fokke & Sukke), showergel (Banani) and Lego (I usually include some kind of toy, because boys will be boys;) I am the QUEEN of buying presents :-)
I get back home around 18.15. Tonight I didn't cook diner. I used to feel guilty about that, but I really don't like cooking (it's just too much hassle), so I decided I don't have to do it every day. I always have a healthy breakfast and lunch and I promised myself to eat a warm meal at least every other day, so I do take care of myself;) And it's not like I don't eat anything: hazelnuts covered with chocolate and a big cup of milk are very filling. Another food-rule: I don't eat anything after 21.00. (I used to snack until bedtime, now I feel much better in the morning:)
Mondaynight is my Sneakpreview night: At 20.00 I will go to the Cinema to see a not-yet-released-surprise-movie. I've been going every week since they started Sneaknights in 1997 (do the math). It's a great way to see movies I might not be tempted to go to if I had a choice;) It's also cheaper than a regular ticket. Tonight I saw 'Babel' from director Alejandro González Iñárritu. Like his earlier films -Amores Perros, 21 Grams- it tells three different stories that come together in the end. I highly recommend his work. It's beautiful.
When I get home I usualy turn on my computer to write in my blogs, surf the net and/or go nuts in Photoshop until way after midnight. I am a night person, which is not very convenient when you have to get up early. Oh well.
I go to bed between 01.00 en 02.00. So now I have about an hour left to travel the net. Goodnight.
Tomorrow in part 2: Tuesday Trivia!
