Happy New Year everyone!

Last night I went to my mom's for New Years Eve. We had diner together, hung out and after lighting some sparkle-sticks, we admired the fireworks from her balcony. We had a great view and were very grateful other people spent a lot of money on the spectacle. It was surprising to see how much fireworks they had left after everything they lighted in the past days, weeks, months.
I started my day underneath the delicious shower at my mom's. I can't think of a better way to start the new year. Not only is the showerhead at least twice as big as mine, but mom has central heating in the bathroom, plus a steady water temperature and -best of all- the pressure is just, just... perfect. I wish I could live there permanently (under the shower, that is;)

I think I have another bladder-infection (or whatever you call it) but since there are no doctors available today -unless it's an emergency- I have to wait until tomorrow before anyone wants to check my pee. :-( I'm pretty sure I made the right diagnosis, since I became an expert on the subject last year. This time I can blame myself for letting it get this far: I haven't been taking care of myself during my vacation. I had a blast these past days, but it wasn't very healthy. I forgot to eat, but more importantly I didn't drink enough, had too many pajama-days and spent a little too much time sitting down. Plus I completely forgot my daily glass of orange-juice and overdosed on activities that might have triggered the infection. Ehm. Yeah. Fun, but not healthy;) Oh well. Live and learn. And I won't have this many days off for a long time, so I'm glad I took the opportunity to enjoy myself. :-p

Not only the past days, the whole of last year was awesome, I never expected to make friends, since I was quite a happy loner, but I've gotten to know a couple of very interesting and lovely people. That surprised me. I'm still a cynic and plan to stay that way, but I'd like to thank all of you: you gave me hope for the future of the world. And I have to admit: humans occassionally aren't too bad to hang out with:)
