I am insanely jealous of [livejournal.com profile] artistic_sillie: she has already seen the Dutch L'Oreal commercial with George Eads. They want us to believe he's speaking Dutch. HA! But I desperately want to see (and hear!) him. Because I'm worth it, damn it.

I already watched it in Germn, and it's quite nice. At first I didn't really realize that it was George Eads, until I saw his face. I went like, "OH MY GOD! That's George Eads!" ^^

Yes. Yes, you are.
And hmpf, I have the full-page ad, but haven't seen the tv ad yet. Sweet mother of all that is holy, I hope they don't dub George over here. Think of the brain rape :|.

I have also seen the German one (and the Spanish, Italian and French ones) But George has strange make-up: he doesn't look like the CSI we know and love;) I saw the Dutch version yesterday and it's different from the ones mentioned above: not as long (the whole bit in the box is missing) but he is doing the ridiculous 'Because you're worth it' line. Well, some voice over is saying it, but at least we get to see George;) Wahey.

Squeee; saw it and have it on tape now :-) The Dutch version is not as silly as the other European commercials (with the whole fighting his way out of a box - who's bright idea was that?) and it's a lot shorter. But he does pretend to say 'Je bent het waard'. *giggles* Oh George.

A store in the town I work has some promotional stuff in the window, last week I asked if they would save it for me. Now I'm anxiously waiting for a phonecall... Almost life-size George... Fingers crossed I will be allowed to take him home.

Oooo envy! You must never ever invite me over if you get it, because I might do inappropriate things to it :P.

*giggles too and cuddlegropes George*

'Because you're worth it'... I think this line is so unnecessary and, if I guy says that line, it sounds extremely gay.
But I think he looks quite nice. ^^

...it sounds extremely gay LOL. Heh. That's funny.
I always thought it sounded cocky, whoever is saying it. Kind of like another line from an older commercial, that said 'Don't hate me, 'cause I'm beautiful'. Who comes up with these slogans? To me those can be a reason NOT to buy certain products.

Because it's true. Like, duh... I wouldn't want to hear a MAN saying that line, especially not George Eads. Thank you, but no.
And yes, it does sound cocky. Like, "I'm the best, you have to love me and buy the things I do advertisings for."
But hey, if those products really make you beautiful, why not? XD

Oops, I think we're on different wave-lengths here: I thought you meant it sounds gay because George said it;) I giggle about anyone saying that line anyway.
And apparently this shampoo does a lousy job when it comes to fighting dandruff: why else would Mr Eads shave off all his hair? *veg*

But that's true, too. XD
Damn, you're right. I liked it better, when it was a little longer, like some sort of pony-tail. That hair cut was hot!
