My brain really is being destroyed by the evil pms. Today I got this client on the phone who was very excited and told me how much she appreciated the work I did and while she was talking all I could think was "who the fuck are you and what did I do?". I did hear her name, I just wasn't able to remember the job, that I did... on Monday. Seriously: no brain. Must. Fight. Hormones. Grumble.
Good stuff: I managed to make a very tasty meal for mom and me. After that we went to the theatre for a performance by my favorite Belgian musicians: De Nieuwe Snaar. They were great, but in front of me was a couple of girls who apparantly were unaware of anything happening on stage, or maybe their lives are more important, because they had to check their cell every ten minutes. Bitches. The guys were great, but my mood was ruined.
I'm still feeling down, so I'm gonna try and find my bed before midnight again. And a big book. It worked last night:)
Finished reading: De Brug by Geert Mak
88 pages about the people who live up and under the bridge in Istanbul. Interesting.
Reading on the bus: What Is The What by Dave Eggers

Date: 2007-03-29 10:44 pm (UTC)I hateHATE people who can't leave their cells alone during movies or concerts. You paid money for this, so WATCH IT. Me and my close friends are known for hissing at people who talk in the theatre.
"If you take advantage of her, you're gonna burn in a very special level of Hell. The one they reserve for child molestors, and people who talk at the theatre."

Date: 2007-03-30 08:17 am (UTC)Actually what is more important is that I paid money for it, I don't care if they don't get their money's worth. I think next time I'll bring a watergun.
Talkers in the theatre need to be shot.

I started a good book a while back intending to read a chapter a day... I'm down to.... "haven't read in two weeks..." I'll have to continue now!
Maybe I'll post what I've read in my journal as well... just to remind myself that I actually like to read.
Sorry to hear about the your brain on vacation... hate it when that happens.
Also sorry to hear about the girls infront of you with no brain and no social skills as well! If their not there to enjoy it, why be there at all?

Writing the progress down in my journal really helped me keep up with my reading. And because I want to offer a small summary when I finish a book, it also forces me to think about the story afterwards. I LOVE to read, but lately I have not allowed myself the time to sit down for it (even on the bus I would just stare out the window, read the annoying newspaper or babble with the busdriver). But I'm slowly rearranging my life:)
Indeed. I really don't understand that behaviour.
