Update and plans for the weekend
Jun. 23rd, 2007 08:33 amBleech, I had one hell of a workload this week and it looks like the fun will continue at least until the summervacation... Four weeks to go.
Yesterday evening I crashed on the couch after diner (around 19.30) and woke up just before 23.00, still groggy and sleepy. So I went straight to bed.
This morning I woke up at 6.30 (SIX fucking THIRTHY AM) well rested and wide awake. Hrmpf. But I treated myself to a chocolate & honey shower and now I'm ready for the weekend:-)
This afternoon my mom will return from her holiday in Austria and because I won't be able to meet her and the boyfriend in person, I bought her a welcome-home gift that I plan to leave at her house this morning together with some flowers. And since it's her birthday tomorrow I will also make a breakfast-box;) So I have to make a trip into town to get good food and flowers at the market and then cycle all the way to mom's to deliver the stuff. It's pouring, people! But before you accuse me of being the perfect daughter, you should know why I won't be at my mom's this afternoon...
I'm going to the Arthouse for 'Shut Up And Sing' and after that I'm going to lock myself in the attic for a double feature of Dr. Who: first I will rewatch Utopia from last week and after that I'll watch the new episode 'live' on the BBC, also on the big screen (yes, I mention that purely to evoke your jealousy *veg*) Mmmmmm.
See? More a selfish bitca than a lovely considerate daughter *g*
Tomorrow I will of course visit my mom with presents and more flowers tobe fed cake and other goodies celebrate. I'm not sure if both my brothers will be there and mom officially invited the family next week, so it might just be me and her. Still: par-tay!
Other stuff on my to-do-list:
Do dishesCollect garbageSort out clothes/closet Organize collection of magazines Finish Goblet of FireStart Order Of The Phoenix

Date: 2007-06-24 09:46 am (UTC)What did you think of Shut Up And Sing? Did you like it? I keep thinking I must be biased because I'm a fan of theirs, but the other people in the theatre seemed to love it as well, so it can't just be that, right?
Ick, sorry to hear about the workload, but you can start counting down now ;). And waking up early isn't that bad because it means you can get a lot of things done! (Spoken like someone who never ever does that, heh.)
(Hm, you remind me I should clean my bedroom and get started on Goblet. Um, during my next break from
checking the flistthesis writing. *shifty eyes*)Oh, and you totally are the perfect daughter, don't even try to deny it. And if you get cake, well, that's just a really cool bonus ;). *g*

Sure, early bird and all that crap; I prefer staying up late to get things done;)
I didn't even have to fast forward in Goblet, I managed to speedread it in the past two weeks. I can only hope the same thing happens with The Order Of The Phoenix, but I fear it's a tougher read.
Only three weeks to go! And I just got a confirming e-mail from my Harry-buddy, that he will be available for the movie the weekend after it opens, wahey!
I got an extra big piece of cake, because mom figured it would just be the two of us. I already knew brotherdearest would make an appearance in the afternoon, so no seconds for me, but the look on my mom's face when he walked in made up for that;) The brother also brought the very young girlfriend, whom I had not met before. But she and I totally went into fangirl-mode after discovering our mutual love for all things Potter, leaving my mom and brother to discuss grown-up stuff, so it was a great party:)

Date: 2007-06-24 08:23 pm (UTC)pornfic. Productivity is key!Man, I'm never gonna be able to finish all the Potter books, sigh. Unless a buttload of free time suddenly and magically appears :P, you never know.
And aw, go you and brotherdearest! Such awesome children you are. And ooo, she likes Harry Potter? She can't possibly disappoint as a person, then! The only person in my family I can fangirl with is my mom. She does it well though. She's been bugging me all weekend, "Hey, when is Doctor Who on?", "Oh my, did you see that Prison Break finale, I can't believe they...", "You'll go watch Pirates with me, won't you? And Harry Potter 5?"
I've created a monster...

Date: 2007-06-24 09:51 pm (UTC)I've tried to get my mom to fangirl, but she doesn't really understand the concept: she always feels sorry or guilty towards the guys and girls I want to squee about. Like those characters care what little old me
wants to do to themwants them to do to each otherfantasizes about *g*.Oh, go you for being productive! I'm off to try and find my bed before midnight. I don't want a repeat of the lack of sleep drama I created last week. Grumble.

Date: 2007-06-25 08:51 am (UTC)Hee. My mom has been a huge LotR fangirl, ever since she was 12 or so, so getting her into the Potterverse and scifi wasn't that much work ;). She gets a bit annoyed if I whimper or huff when there are pretty men, though. She watches for the *plot*, you know. Sigh.
Myeah, I have a day off from work so I'll use it to write papers and whatnot. 'Yay'.

Your mom is such a liar; "watching it for the plot" HA!
