I started working on some icons from Utopia, but unfortunately I lack the time to finish them. I did however manage to capture one of my favorite expressions on the doctor's face:

I could stare at this all day. But I won't. Because I have a life. Oh shut up.
Also: I went to see Shut Up And Sing this afternoon and I am now madly in love with Natalie Maines. Okay, she lost some points for calling a psychic, but I still totally want to jump her bones think she is awesome.

Date: 2007-06-24 11:07 am (UTC)And yay, kindred spirit! Natalie Maines is freaking awesome. I don't know who I'm more jealous of, her or Adrian Pasdar. Best. Marriage. Ever. It's a running joke between me and Guinny that we would have gone off to seduce Adrian ages ago, if we weren't so sure that Natalie would kick our asses ;).
"They shouldn't have their feelings hurt? What a dumb fuck."
And I love her even more for repeating her exact statement two years later, after all the trouble it got them in. She's my hero. A very tiny, loudmouthed hero, but a hero nonetheless ;).
Okay, done fangirling!

Date: 2007-06-24 08:01 pm (UTC)I hadn't heard of the Dixie Chicks until Michael Moore mentioned them, but I certainly love the new sound, so I might try their music later. Right now I'm still busy crushing;)
I didn't expect to be swept away by the attitude of these women, especially Natalie. She is indeed awesome. I did not recognize Adrian, but I did appreciate all the (ex)husbands in the documentary. Despite the overload of children and dogs, these families are a great example of partnership and sharing responsibilities.
Heh. Natalie would totally kick your asses. Although I'm willing to try and distract her if you two really want to go for Adrian. You and Guinny would also have to take the dogs though. But I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem;)

Date: 2007-06-24 08:17 pm (UTC)Adrian was Top Gun and other clichéd '90s stuff :p, and is one of the leading men on Heroes (see my slashy Adrian/Milo icons *cough*). I hardly recognized him with the stubble, but oh how I loved it *g*!
And heh, even though I'm not prone to the married-with-two-kids-and-a-Volvo lifestyle, they do it admirably ;). I really love how they all stick together, no matter what. Yay for sisterhood.
Heh, Guinny can have the dogs, I'll have Adrian :P (don't tell her though!)

Date: 2007-06-25 08:24 pm (UTC)Ehm, I've seen the first episode of Heroes last week, but wasn't sure what to think of it. It was a to-be-continued and if it wasn't for the massive fangirling by some people I know, I might not have been intrigued enough to remember to watch the next episode this Thursday... We'll see if that one can convince me to add the series to my worthy-of-watching list... *hides*
I won't tell her;)

Date: 2007-06-25 08:45 pm (UTC)And aww, that's okay ;). I'm severely obsessed with the whole damn thing (So. Many. Pretties!) but I *suppose* I can't force all my fandoms on you... *heaves deep sigh* Still, I hope you'll like the upcoming episodes enough to change your mind, hehe :P. *g*
because I can't let things go. Continuing the Heroes-review....
Date: 2007-07-02 03:05 pm (UTC)Although I admit there are some very fine people to ogle, the second episode of Heroes didn't do it for me either. First off: I hate voice-over guy, with his know-it-all attitude and big words. Fuck. Off. For you I was willing to ignore him and focus on the story. But it just annoyed the hell out of me: besides them all being 'weird' or 'special', there are not enough connections -yet- between all the characters and I'm damned if I'm gonna sit through another episode to see if they finally get together or if the world is going to explode already. I just don't have the patience for all this fucking about. I'm insulted that the writers assume I find all the mystery intriguing enough to hang on. I don't. Bored now.
Maybe I'll try again after another ten eppies or so, but for now I give up. Your admirable attempt to turn me into a fangirl for this one failed. But we will always have CSI, right? *bites nails*
