Yesterday
artistic_sillie came over for two days of CSI-and slash related fun: we watched the final three episodes of Season 7 (meh) and after dinner we continued our program with TV-movie Evel Knievel in which George Eads tries to compensate for the aweful blonde mullet by showing off his awesome pecs a lot, bless him;) and "groovy" dance/music movie True Vinyl with Eric Szmanda: so young, so innocent and also half naked - yay;)
I think the films tied in the category 'embarrassingly bad scripts', but as far as B-movies go, Evel Knievel won (or lost, depending on your pov;). Television without Pity's Sobell wrote a hilarious recap: more fun than watching the movie:)
To be able to sleep without nightmares we ended the night with CSI episode Poppin' Tags (S6Ep20) plus DVD-commentary by George and writer Dustin Lee Abraham. Despite the overload of praise for colleagues ("I loved to work with him", "she is a great actress", bla-bla-bla) it was very enjoyable. Mr. Eads has the most contagious little giggle. Adorable *g*
"Eric and I look like we're about to start a British rock band." (time to get a haircut;)
Today Silvia and I studied Marilyn Manson's (S)aint video on the big screen to finally figure out whether Eric was wearing a skirt or very short shorts;) We also watched eighties-vampire-camp 'The Lost Boys' and I managed to convert Sillie to the Torchwood/DrWho fandom by showing her the finals of both series in a row: score! (no-one can resist the charm after five episodes with Captain Jack Harkness - bwoohahahaha!)

Date: 2007-07-08 08:09 pm (UTC)I'm so glad you girls know how to spend your time! :-)
I'm trying to convince my friend (that has only seen the first half of CSI season one) to a CSI marathon next Saturday when Amaya is at MIL and Hubby leaves for Holland to walk Nijmegen.

Oooh, Nijmegen! I think the weather is gonna be more suitable for walking compared to last year.

Date: 2007-07-08 08:29 pm (UTC)Yeah, hopefully it wont be as hot this year as it was last year. Hubby wanted to go last year as well, but I didn't let him! hehe. No I wasn't just a bitchy wife, it was around when I was due with Amaya. This year he can go though, he will be home 4 days before her first birthday.
I'm currently home a lot lately, as hubby and his friends in his military troops keep walking with 10 kg on their back to train for Nijmegen. Tomorrow they will walk 20 km. :-) I keep telling him he can bring Amaya since she weighs 10 kg now... :-)

It's a skirt, right? I do hope it's a skirt *giggles not quite as adorably as George*

Yaaaaay you're so smart! So what did you watch, Captain Jack Harkness and End of Days, and then the last three Who eppies? Gah, I'm so jealous.
One more for the dark side, score!

Date: 2007-07-09 10:38 pm (UTC)We decided it was a skirt, it was crotchless anyway :-) Also: Eric has really nice legs. Dude, I pushed that slowmotion and zoom-button so hard, the DVDplayer crashed - overload on hotness I think:) Please continue your lovely giggling;)
TW/DW: yep, yep aaaaaaaaaaaand yep. The Captain eppie almost made me cry. Damn, those guys were even more heartbreaking on second viewing. :'-(

Date: 2007-07-09 11:12 pm (UTC)And whoa, my brain just spazzed when it read the word 'crotchless', ghee. No wonder the DVD player crashed!
Dude, I rarely rewatch DW/TW episodes but I've watched Captain JH at least five times by now. It's just such a delicious standalone! Not to mention all the tragic, epic stuff *heaves deep sigh*
