My back is killing me. Thank you stress-coping mechanism for not making me dizzy anymore, but instead trying to make me slow down by giving me the good old lower backpains again. I'm amazed I managed to crawl out of bed this morning. I even got to the bus on time. I rule!
I'm not able to sit down behind my Mac though, so I'm currently using the specially designed 'standing-stool', basically a tall fold-out chair with a tractor-seat. Yep, it is that uncomfortable. I'm trying to combine using the device with standing up straight, until my legs get tired and then I kind of lean against the stool. Apparently it's better for my back than sitting down, but it's also quite an exhausting way to work. Plus my butt is not pleased with the hard seat at all.

Four days to go...

On the upside: I received one long awaited mail, yay! I must resist reading it at work. But I'm shivering with antici.....pation;)

Thanks. I'm afraid it's gonna get worse before it gets better. And it really sucks that not only work, but more importantly most -if not all- of my hobbies involve sitting down, which is the worst thing to do at the moment. Grumble.

I think I've got a bad back for sitting too long at the computer, too. I never sit up straight so that my back isn't bent, so after a while my back starts to hurt. When that happens, I get up and walk around a bit. It's better after doing so ^^

Well, ever since the big break down a couple of years ago I've learned how to sit properly. And I always go for a walk during my breaks. But whenever I stress out about work or life in general, but refuse to slow down or take time to deal, my back will try to get me to take it easy. That's not gonna happen for the next three days though. Work needs to be done, unfortunately. I'm counting down to my vacation;)

Oh no! My body reacts to stress by giving me killer neck pains that result in me running around in those collars like they give dogs that have just been neutered. Sigh.

Can't you convince your boss to let you go home, then? Because damn, that sounds so painful and impractical.

But yay, mail to look forward to! And heh, points for the RHPS reference ;).

Hope the back pain lets up soon *sends good vibes*.

Isn't the body a marvelous thing. Well, I look like a very old broken woman when I try to move, but at least I don't have to wear a collar.

Mmmm collar.

What?

EHm, staying at home is not an option. The boss has thought of a solution for the workplace though: we're gonna raise one of the spare tables in my office, so I don't have to fuck about with stacking my keyboard, mouse and stuff on boxes to be able to do my job. (The fancy Mac is flexible) It's only three days, so I'll survive the standing and the stool. It's a little rough, but my butt can handle it, I'm sure;)

Ah, the mail was very satisfying: lots of dumb and somewhat interesting comments were made to respond to/bitch about. It will be a lovely challenge to answer, see how much further I can take the harshness:)

But most of my at home computer fun will have to be postponed, if I want to get through the next few days at work. That sadly includes making icons and responding to your comments and mail. Know that I'm in the middle of Alive and I'm loving it. I'll continue the S/R fun asap. *hugs*

Hem, hem. I did not say dog collar :P (although I admit I was fairly tempted, hehe ;). Hmm, good thoughts now.

Eheheh. You truly are evil. I love you.

Ahw, it's kinda nice of your boss to raise your desk. I mean, clearly it's not a perfect situation, but you'll be able to handle it, I'm sure! And don't worry about not having much time for online fun -- after today, you only have two more days before you're freeeee! Huzzah!

I found more S/R recs, some are very good, some at least acceptable ;). I'm composing a list, because I'm sad that way.

Right. Off to work.
