Let me curse in Dutch, I'm sure those on my flist who can read it won't mind. It won't cure the backpain, but at least it will take off some of the pressure.

KUTKLOTEFUCKRUG.

I thought I survived the worst yesterday and was ready to climb out of the pit of backpain and stiffness. After another exhausting day at work, a computerless evening at home and an early night's sleep I expected to feel better. But this morning I found the hole even deeper. I'm on the brink of crying from pain. Standing up is the most bearable pose, but after three days it's wearing me out and my legs and butt are not happy. Although their protests are nothing compared to what the lower back is doing for attention.

Two more days of work then I'm crashing. Fuck.

Since I can't sit down, I will have to avoid clinging to the computer at home yet again. For my own good. Well, at least I will be save from spoilers. It looks like my Harry won't arrive until the middle of next week.
Book 6 is my comfort at the moment.

:'-(

It does :-( Thanks for the hug.

Mabye I can take the standingstool home with me for my vacation. I desperately want to work on icons. It's ironic how the one thing that would give me the most comfort and possibilities to take my mind of the pain, is the one thing that's really bad for my back.
I so love to sit behind the computer. Sigh.

Oh you poor thing :|. The cursing is completely understandable, back pains are the worst. Are you sure it's not a hernia, though? *worries*

Does lying down help? Either way, thank Jeebus your vacation's coming up so you can crash, sleep and relax. There's HBP to read and DH to look forward to, so I'm sure you won't be bored ;). I'm staying away from the interwebs until I finished the book, but I will be checking my email (carefully) and reading mails of people who I know won't spoil me. So feel free to rant if you need it, I'll be around ;).

In other news: dude, my sister totally read the ending online, and she's never even read the books! If there was any mystery as to why the two of us don't get along, there's an awesome bit of proof for you. We're complete opposites. Oh well, at least she didn't tell me. It would be hard to avoid my sister for two weeks.
Hope you feel better, darling. If you need more recs to cheer you up, let me know!

I'm sure it's not a hernia, even though that runs in the familiy. It's cleary stress-related backpain. And I think I could handle the pain, if I could at least move, but -pardon the TMI- simple things like going to the toilet take so much longer and are almost impossible to do.

Strangely enough lying down is also very painful. Standing up straight really is the best for the back (and walking) but I'm so fucking tired of not being able to sit down. :-(

I'm halfway through HBP and I must say it's pretty light stuff so far, especially compared to tOotP. Dumbledore is cracking jokes, WTF?

I long to continue with Alive and other R/S ff, maybe I can take the standingstool home with me for my vacation, so I can at least read on the 'puter. I also really want to make icons. The awesome pics I found just scream to be used (Sirius + tattoo, anyone?)

Your sister is weird. Seriously. Who does that?

Recs are always appreciated, I'm hoping to be able to return the favor, I found some really beautiful artwork and have more of those cartoons;)

Thanks for worrying, although really you shouldn't: I survived before and I'm sure I'll live through this, even though the timing sucks. I want to be fit for my vacation, dammit!

*off to work - four hours to go today*

Aw man, what a crappy situation.

There's honestly so much about HBP that I've forgotten *is bad fangirl*. But hey, be glad Dumbledore's cracking jokes! I wonder if DH will go back to the dark stuff. I imagine it will *excited*. Gah, the wait is endless.
Taking the stool home with you sounds like a good plan! And if you need more stories: I just read one called Written By Hand which was sad but lovely, and am now reading one called No One said it would be Easy, which is a post-OotP story that has Lupin and Harry bonding and grieving together. So far, it's made me cry twice. Bastards.
(And yay for cartoons and icons! The lovely [livejournal.com profile] renestarko just made me this one of Gary and David at the PoA premiere, mmm.)

Keep your chin up, vacation is nigh (heh, cool word)! I'm going to do some more thesis stuff and then go to the movies for a second viewing, hee. Hugs!

I had saved this comment as a reminder to read the recs and I feel it is my duty to inform you I just did. Ehm, I guess sadfic is not my genre. Written by Hand was too complicated for me: too many people around, iykwim;) The second one could have worked before I had read book 6 & 7, but now it was too much of a happy fantasy: I would have loved another year of Lupin as a teacher. He was such a cool guy in the classroom.

Heh, and I saved your recs mail and read the last bits todat (on the boss's computer, God I hope he doesn't click on his 'history' button :|.) Loooved the Slackened Ties story (James walking in on them was hysterical) and made many indecent noises with the second one, because I have such a hot tub kink, lol ;).

And I have to admit I never finished reading the second fic *blushes*. I got distracted by canon, lol ;). But Lord yes, I loved teachin' Lupin, sooo much.

I'm so glad I have my own computer at work, not that I would ever read fic there, but I have my history set to 'delete after each session';) You can also do that manually before you go offline.

OMG, wasn't that just a hilarious and hot and lovely fic? Sirius counting the kisses and feeling all guilty about the infamous prank. Good good stuff.

I think I read another story about that bathroom... I'll try to remember properly.

Aha! You cheater: don't rec fic you haven't finished reading! I was gonna say it went on too long, but didn't want to be all negative about it. Now I don't feel guilty for skipping the really boring parts. I'll have you know I only rec stories I actually finish and only if I really like them. Tsss.

Myes, it strikes me now that I should have done that. Sigh.
And God, yes, that was adorable and hot and with such a smidge of angst *blissful sigh*.

And yeah yeah, I know, I'm a bad person :p. I did say 'so far', you know :P. And I'm reading the last chapters of Stealing Harry right now (we love you, Sam the Storyteller!), which might be added to the recs list once I'm done ;). See, I grow as a person!
