Added two more books to my 'to read'-list. In my defence: they are tiny and part of a series that publishes a short story by a different author every month. Since I have collected every part (except for the one from that awful writer I did not want in my collection) I had to buy them before they were sold out;)

I'm near to the end of The Grim Grotto from The Series Of Unfortunate Events. I still like to know what's happening to the orphans, but at the moment I'm getting rather tired of this story -thanks to the loud mouth captain- and Lemony Snicket is not helping by repeatedly -ehm- repeating himself with efforts to stop the reader from reading. The jokes are getting old :-( I will continue reading the series, but especially this part could have done with a fiercer editor, in my opinion;)

I fell asleep on the couch tonight and missed the first ten minutes of South Park. Bummer. I should go to bed now, but I will probably spend some time on the interwebz trying to find hot women for that meme I was supposed to do days ago...

Yay for the reading list. Out of curiosity: which one was the author you didn't want in your collection? *grin*

I still haven't read any of the Lemony Snicket books. I think I have the same problem with them I used to have with HP: the whole huffy 'pft, that hype won't picque my interest' vibe. I'm sure I'll change my mind and be fannish as soon as I get started, hehe, but I have enough books on my current reading list to avoid it for a little while longer ;).

Doooooom! for missing South Park. I'm finally getting some new episodes. With lots of Butters, YAY! *cuddles Butters*

That would be Herman Brusselmans, I despise his writing: it's so foul.

I know how you feel, I was the same about HP;) But when I read the warning on the back of Book the First, I liked Lemony Snicket's tone and I was very curious. It has been a great ride (almost eleven down, two to go...), but Harry wins hands down.
I do think you should watch the film though: Jim Carrey is awesome in it. As are Meryl Streep and Billy Connolly (those names alone should convince you;) I wrote a long review in my moviecorner Spoilerfree of course - you know me:)
I rewatched it later with Hans, who had not read the books and he liked it too:)

Oi: hands off Butters, he's my cuddle-bunny! Besides, I thought you liked your men scruffy:-p

I loved that episode where he wants to be an evil mastermind, but every scheme he thinks of has already been done on the Simpsons. Ahw.

Ah, yes. I read his weekly sports column in the paper (even though they're rarely about sports, he's so frakking stream-of-consciousness) but I'm pretty sure I couldn't handle an entire book. But coincidentally, when I ordered Schijnbewegingen, they sent a free copy of his short story 'Kwantum'. So, myeah. Since I didn't have to spend money on it, maybe I'll give it a go :P.

They're now added to my list -- I'm sure I'll get to the first book by Christmas, heh. But that's okay, they're Christmassy books anyway, aren't they? The trailer seemed to exude that, anyway ;).

Heh, I do, but I'll gladly make an exception for Butters.
(And damn, I don't think I've seen that episode yet. I loved it when his parents sold him to Paris Hilton, aw.)

He occassionally writes in the TVguide I get from my mom. I only need to read the first few words to recognize his style and then I stop reading;)

I've got an extra Book the Nineth for ya. It's not a seasonal story, but I guess the darkness of the adventures makes it suitable for Christmas. I could put the movie on the program. Hmm, I better go an do some math to figure out how many hours fit in a long weekend *g*

It's this episode (good title!) dl is available, it might be saved on my system soon...

Ahw yeah: "Stupid Spoiled Whore" - a classic:)
"Please! I-I don't want to live with her! She snores real bad, and she has a huge nose, and this squishy thing that lives in her pants! Please, please don't sell me to her!"

Hee, we'll need a strict viewing schedule if we want to get everything done *g*. Oh no, such a chore ;). But, I got my Monday off so that gives us some extra time *g*.

Aah, I love you for linking me to that site. I dl'ed and watched most of season six last night, ahem. Evil Butters FTW *pets him*.

Right, back to work. I've packed everything, except for all my books. I'm avoiding that :P.
