If I told you I bought them for my brother, would you believe me?

Honestly, I went into the bookstore tonight to look for a present for the other brother (it's his birthday today, there will be a gathering on Sunday). Because once again he made the most impossible wishlist and I though I might be inspired. I bought two books I should could totally give to him. I had them wrapped. So for now, I won't add them to my to-read-list, because technically they are not mine... yet. Not until I find something else for the brother *g*.

In other news: I bought a pair of hideous awesome shoes this morning (sparkly!). I also drooled in another store because of a rather expensive pair of really cool deep purple semi-sneakers. I will try those on tomorrow. (You can only do so much in a fifteen minute break:) I hope they fit.

This evening documentary Onbeperkt Houdbaar (translation: Limited Shelflife) was on again, plus an addition about everything that happened to Sunny Bergman after her film was shown for the first time six months ago. This time I saw it right after Southpark which happened to be a very relevant episode: Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society. (with references to Silence Of The Lambs "Put the lotion in the fucking basket!"; 2001: A Space Odyssy and Planet Of The Apes) Brilliant.

Bebe:"Having boobs sucks." Amen, sister.

The shoes make me giggle, because they are really ugly, I love them;) And today I bought cool shoes. Yep, this was a good week for shoes:)

Which books, which books? I have no time to post but I bought the original unabridged and unedited manuscript edition of Kerouac's On The Road. It just came out. Whee! It's so pretty, with a linen cover and extra essays and everything. Aah, so cool.

I think I saw that documentary on Canvas (BRT Twee for those of us who think the new name is silly *raises hand*). Did that have the evil plastic surgeon, and the teenager and her mom? *vaguely recalls this*

The shoes rock like a rocking thing. I have been putting off buying new Converse All-Stars because I'm so picky with them. But then, my old ones have big holes in them *blushes*.

Ahw, can't say, because the other brother -who never pays any attention to me- might accidently stumble upon this post and then he will be dissapointed if he doesn't get the books it will ruin the surprise;) Oooh, I so love pretty books and special editions.

*raises hands* Yes, that was the one (It made me cry when first saw it in April)

Heh, I still haven't decided what makes those sandals uglier: the silver soles or the golden skulls *g*. But I love them, even though I was on a mission to buy high sneakers:)
