On occassion I wish I was able to throw up. Like last night, when I woke up around five a.m. overwhelmingly nauseous and crampy. I crawled out of bed, got my lovely turquoise bucket out of the closet with cleaning supplies and headed to the toilet. Where I sat down half asleep and wished for the tension to go away. I imagine throwing up will get rid of it fast, but despite my stomach's best intensions, it took a long time before I -ehm- figured it was safe to get into bed again. *g*/TMI

This morning I was still feeling groggy enough to call in sick so I can do the dishes, answer my mail, fold my laundry, continue watching Doctor Who Season 2 and update my film-list take it easy today:)

P.S. The new shoes had it rough on their first day out in the world and they were not letting me get away with it. Yesterday I went to The Hague to celebrate the other brother's birthday and apparently it's not a good idea to go hiking on new shoes. Huh. Who knew. They're still cool though. I'm sure they will be nicer to me once they learn I don't usually move around that much *g*. I've pierced the blisters and will make up to the shoes later this week by sitting down behind my desk all day. I bet they'll like that:)

Walking with my new shoes...

It was very nice of you to take your shoes for a walk!

I hope you're feeling better...and really are taking it easy. Blisters? Ugh.

:)

I'm feeling better now, thanks. The day off also meant I could walk around barefoot all day, that was good:)

Ack, sorry to hear about the feeling crappy. At least you got a day off out of it ;). All better by now, I hope?

Ahw, how sweet of you to give your shoes a break like that ;). Good thing it wasn't raining *g*. I know all about the new-shoe-pain, unfortunately.
The Hague looks incredibly pretty! It had no idea it was that green, and that it was that close to the sea! And believe it or not, I love the coast so much that those pictures spurred me into making an impromptu trip on Thursday. yay!

Much better now, yes:) The Doctor was -of course- part of the cure (Girl in the Fire (snogging!) and The Idiot's Lantern (Elvishair!) :-)

Well, the other brother and his girlfriend bought an apartment last year in the posh neighbourhood Kijkduin, which is in walking distance of the beach. Of course we go there whenever we visit:) Rain or shine, the beach rocks! Have fun on Thursday!

Ah, good to hear. Lord yes, I love Girl in the Fireplace (Mickey FTW!). "What's a horse doing on a spaceship?" - "What's prerevolutionary France doing on a spaceship, Mickey?! Focus!"
Aww.

For some reason, I have no love whatsoever for the hungry wire. Hmpf.

It really does. It was cloudy and cold when I started my walk, but near the end the weather was amazing. Still, it all has his charm. I'm fond of the grey, rainy days, myself ;).

I understand Madame de Pompadour is the current girlfriend (I think we were witness of the falling in love. Bless.) I loved that woman muchly: she was so very smart.

Meh, the Wire was a nice idea, but poorly executed. I did giggle about the hair a lot though:)

Ah, stormy weather at the beach is the best.

Jup, she is. I am incredibly freaking jealous of her :P. She was supposed to be a guest at one of the conventions I attended, but she has to cancel. Too bad, I was hoping David would be tagging along if she attended ;).

Yeah, the outfits were cool. Colorful, but cool ;).

It really is. *slacks at work some more, teehee*

Urgh, I can't throw up either. Rather sucky sometimes. I hope you're feeling better by now.

Blisters = ouch. New shoes = still awesome. :3

Meh, I even tried that finger-in-the-throat-thing once, but it didn't work. It sucks when all you can do is wait for the nausea to go away. But I'm feeling much better now. Staying at home was a good plan, it also gave my feet the chance to heal, because I didn't need to wear shoes all day:)

I still love the shoes, I will show them around the office later this week;)
