An early morning with the bucket
Sep. 10th, 2007 11:00 am On occassion I wish I was able to throw up. Like last night, when I woke up around five a.m. overwhelmingly nauseous and crampy. I crawled out of bed, got my lovely turquoise bucket out of the closet with cleaning supplies and headed to the toilet. Where I sat down half asleep and wished for the tension to go away. I imagine throwing up will get rid of it fast, but despite my stomach's best intensions, it took a long time before I -ehm- figured it was safe to get into bed again. *g*/TMI
This morning I was still feeling groggy enough to call in sick so I can do the dishes, answer my mail, fold my laundry, continue watching Doctor Who Season 2 and update my film-list take it easy today:)
P.S. The new shoes had it rough on their first day out in the world and they were not letting me get away with it. Yesterday I went to The Hague to celebrate the other brother's birthday and apparently it's not a good idea to go hiking on new shoes. Huh. Who knew. They're still cool though. I'm sure they will be nicer to me once they learn I don't usually move around that much *g*. I've pierced the blisters and will make up to the shoes later this week by sitting down behind my desk all day. I bet they'll like that:)
Walking with my new shoes...

Date: 2007-09-11 07:13 pm (UTC)I'm feeling better now, thanks. The day off also meant I could walk around barefoot all day, that was good:)

Date: 2007-09-11 11:46 am (UTC)Ahw, how sweet of you to give your shoes a break like that ;). Good thing it wasn't raining *g*. I know all about the new-shoe-pain, unfortunately.
The Hague looks incredibly pretty! It had no idea it was that green, and that it was that close to the sea! And believe it or not, I love the coast so much that those pictures spurred me into making an impromptu trip on Thursday. yay!

Date: 2007-09-11 07:20 pm (UTC)Well, the other brother and his girlfriend bought an apartment last year in the posh neighbourhood Kijkduin, which is in walking distance of the beach. Of course we go there whenever we visit:) Rain or shine, the beach rocks! Have fun on Thursday!

For some reason, I have no love whatsoever for the hungry wire. Hmpf.
It really does. It was cloudy and cold when I started my walk, but near the end the weather was amazing. Still, it all has his charm. I'm fond of the grey, rainy days, myself ;).

Ah, stormy weather at the beach is the best.
