Wow. Rough night. I went to bed around eleven (if I remember correctly) because I was quite headachy from the sun and the heat (and it's not even summer yet, what the fuck global warming?!). I kept waking up and felt a bit feverish and very uncomfortable all night.

I did manage to go to work this morning, mostly because I have a very lovely project to work on. Plus I have a three day weekend to look forward to. I do not wish to be sick: Saturday I'm taking mom, brotherdearest and his gf to the massive Angels In America play: five hours of awesome dialogue and emotional scenes by our top actors? I'd have to be unconscious to miss out on that!

Also: I'm playing the new Panic At The Disco CD "Pretty.Odd." for the first time and I'm a little bit in love with that. I'm getting the same kind of lusty feelings I had when first hearing Razorlight and Kate Nash. It really is gorgeous music. This new album has a very different feel from their first. The boys obviously listened to the Beatles a lot (and looked at them for hairstyles too, apparently;) - bless them. I still like Brendon's voice the best, but it's great to hear the others sing as well, it adds a new dynamic to the songs. Even if you didn't appreciate Panic's music before, I urge you to listen to this new stuff. It will make you smile.

Here, have a vid:

Told you.

Yes. I'm feeling much better now. Back to work...

Yay, glad you're feeling better!

You will tell us all about Angels in America in great detail, won't you? *bats eyelashes at you* I got myself the stage play for my birthday, it's somewhere on the top of my reading list, whee!

Yessss, I know what you mean about Pretty. Odd. I had this massive insta-love for Fever so it was incredibly hard to top, but after six weeks of intensive listening, I think I like this one even better. You can really tell what they're trying to do, and the fact that they're clearly having a really good time, makes it such a joy to listen to.

Heh, Bden and his pornstache. They always take it just that little bit too far, don't they? I love it. (Also, I can has Spencer's silk pj's, pls? So lovely!)

Hey, listening to the boys all day long really helped a lot:)

Yes I will. Oh, I'm curious how the text will stand if you read it. You'll probably imagine the awesome actors from the TV-series while going through the dialogue now. Can't wait to find out how it feels on stage (and in Dutch...)

So far Fever is still my favorite, mostly because I like my music with a little edge. Pretty.Odd. is in comparison very sweet. (OMG, the Folksong? WTF Brendon? Guh.)

Heh. I loved seeing all the boys in their PJ's (esp. you know who;).

Heh, I really really believe that. It has saved my mood lots of times while having to walk through this fucking hot weather, urgh.

Yeah, I think I'll probably imagine the voices from the DVd (even though it's probably not completely the same text?). With plays, like with poems, I have a tendency to read them out loud, so I'll probably end up doing that, hehehe ;). And I'm sure the Dutch will detract nothing from the awesomeness, especially not with that amazing cast you mentioned!

Oh hee! There is nothing I don't love about that song, cheesy title pun and all. Srsly, such a dork. *smish*
(And yeah, I prefer the beats and pacing on Fever, but I think Pretty. Odd will hold up better during live performances? Guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks. ;)

Dude, I need to know where you found the stage play on paper, because both me and Benthe want it.

I keep noticing new stuff while listening to Pretty.Odd. I'm loving it more each time I hear it.

I got my copy from Proxis, and it arrived within two weeks. (They also deliver to the Netherlands, jsyk. ;)

Hee, yep, same here. Even though, like I said, I'm not too happy with the mix. I get why they did it, getting that live, naturel sound and what have you, but I need to be able to hear the bass line, goddamnit.

Thanks. Because the website looked quite similar to our Bol.com, I figured I look there as well and I found a couple of editions available. Will check it out after my next pay-check. Ahem.

What kind of system are you listening on? Because I get plenty of depth in my CD, both on my computer and on my hifi. Can't really judge the Ipod, since I only use that in the shower, where sound is distorted anyway. But I have not noticed a lack of bass line. Of course I'm not as up to date on music as you. I should buy the vinyl version...

Yay! Bol.com rocks like a rocking thing *nods*.

I usually listen on my laptop or my mp3player, but the problem is that I can hear how compressed and metallic it all sounds. CDs and mp3 files always sound tinny and superficial to me. This is clearly why there needs to be more vinyl in the world ;) *is snobby, heh*.

But basically, I think the mix could've used more depth. It's really hard to hear the backing vocals a lot of the time AND I NEED TO HEAR MY JON WALKER THANKSSOMUCH (although I can hear them fine in Mad as Rabbits, I admit. I have such love for Ryan's doo-doo-doo; heh!).

It is cold here like nobody's business. Which wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't already packed away my winter clothes and am far too lazy to retrieve them. Woe.

Ahw. I hope the vid warmed you up a bit;)

I still need to go through the winter clothes in my closet. Meh.

I'm not a Panic fan. Sorry.

I was even late this year in packing away the winter stuff. Man.

Ahw, that's too bad. Their new stuff is really different from the kind of music that made them famous though.

The weather is freaky all over the world.

I've heard some of the new stuff, which does sound like the Beatles. And, sacrilegious alert!, I really don't like the Beatles.

That it is. (I feel like one of the old ladies who calls her friends just to talk about it.)
