I'm busy building the surprise-gifts for next week's Sinterklaas celebrations. And of course I already ran out of glue half way through. Luckily it's shopping Sunday, so I could go out for an emergency run of supplies:) It was quite an awesome bicycle ride despite, or probably thanks to the snowstorm. Next to the all important arts & crafts stuff, I also came home with some new ideas. \o/ Obviously I can't show you anything I'm making now, but to give you an idea, here are the ones I made earlier:)

While I'm making a mess of the livingroom being artsy, I'm also keeping an eye on my tv: yesterday I installed my new digital receiver and for the next two weeks I can enjoy all the available channels. Even though I'm seriously loving VH1 classic (it's like MTV used to be!) and Out TV (yesterday they showed The Wedding Banquet, ahw) I've already decided I'm not going to pay extra to keep those. But as long as I have them, I'm totally addicted *g*.

I love that Sinterklaas artsy tradition you do. I would so try to initiate that with my family, but I would only be met with apathy.

:) Dude, it's awesome, but sadly it's a dying tradition. We're celebrating with the extended family this year: three people from Australia are joining us. I hope we make a good impression *g*

Wahee! We're not doing surprise-gifts, we just gift wrap them. We are doing the poems though, and I really should start on mine. *hands*

Anyway, good luck with the artsy stuff! :D

I finished my last surprise-gift tonight. \o/ I really like building surprises, me and my mom go a little crazy;) And even though the brothers always complain about lack of time, they usually craft something too:) But it wouldn't be Sinterklaas without poems;) This year I have to write some in English as well, since we have guests from Australia. *puts on thinking cap*

Good luck with the poems!
