\o/ The boobs stopped hurting! I will abolutely use this as an excuse to postpone the dreaded shopping for a bra. *g* However, this week I have learned a couple of things about my preferences if I do have to take that step in the future:
  • I should not plan the project on a Saturday; too many people in the shops (no, I did not know that, I avoid shopping as much as I can);
  • Do not want any men in the shop; sorry guys, I have enough issues with other women being around;
  • I like the dark colours;
  • I do not care for padded cups (what the hell?);
  • I want broad straps;
  • I may have a thing for corsets.

  • I still haven't got a clue what size to go for. I measured, but those numbers don't make any sense, so I guess I do need professional help. But for now, I'm safe. (Although there is no telling where my new funky cycle will take me next. Be prepared for more TMI-sharing)

    Ahahahahaa. FOOL. When I go shopping, it's on week days between 10 and 12. Delightfully quiet, bb.

    Some of have lost a tragic amount of weight and thus need the padded cups to still fill out their tops *sadfaces*.

    Dude, yes. Corsets. That. Yes.

    So not funny. *pouts* The job prevents me from shopping during quiet time and I can't really make these life-changing decisions in the fifteen minute breaks. I will take time off if I ever go through with the project;)

    Even though I personally would be thrilled with less (to none) I can understand the padding for smaller sizes, but a lot of the bigger cups have 'm too and that just didn't make any sense to me. Today I did see a bra called 'the minimalizer' though, that made me happy *g*

    Shut.Up. No.

    Maybe this is a site you could use to figure out the right size? http://www.bhmaat.nl/ (aaahahah, I think I've figured out why my two new bra's are so uncomfortable... I used to be a 80D, but now I've measured myself again, and I'm actually a 85DD/E. XDXD) Hope this helps. :3

    The padded cups... If they are the ones I think you mean (de voorgevormde cups), then they're awesome. I used to think exactly the same as you, 'till I tried one on. They just give that little bit of extra support that one without the extra padding misses, and they don't necessarily 'enlarge' your boobs that much. As long as they don't have added extra filling, that is.

    Thanks for that link (zo logisch ook;). I had to fiddle with the numbers, but it made more sense than the HEMA site I used. Apparently there is a fine line between how you round off both the upper and lower measurements. It said 100AA first, but now it's apparently 95D, which sounds about right.

    Yeah, that's what I meant. To me it looked like the pre-shaped ones would put even more emphasis on the boobs, while I prefer to not have them stand out so much. I didn't realize the bras were padded for support;)

    Accccck....bra shopping. I feel your pain. I only have 2 bras, one of which is the aforementioned 'minimizer' and they are great if you can get one. Sometimes better to get professionally measured even though it's kind of embarrassing.

    I have a friend who is horrified by this (me only having 2 bras) and she wants to take me underwear shopping. For fun. What is this about????? *baffled*

    Not adding much here, just wanted to empathize :)

    Ahw, a kindred spirit;) Your friend is scary! I can't even think about spending time trying on bras; it gives me shivers, especially the part of dealing with 'a professional'.

    The empathy is very much appreciated:)
