I can't remember to check my twitter unless it comes directly to my phone. But I can't figure out why you'd want twitter unless you had a cell phone and too much time on your hands. Which is me, I guess. Great for time wasting in doctor's offices, at least.

I'm online nearly 24 hours a day (I calculated it at around 20/7 during weekdays) so I don't need a phone to check or post on Twitter. I have all these thoughts in my head that are too random for a journal or blog. I'm hoping to stop the insanity by getting them out there. Or possibly I'm too needy to connect to people despite my desire to be on my own.

I don't know.

With the risk of sounding like a noob... what is Twitter? I've heard people about it before, but I have no clue what it is. :'3

Ah, well, I'm still not sure, but let me try and explain the way I understand it: it's like sms (text) but public, so everybody can see who you text and what you text. You have a maximum of 140 characters per message. Twitter itself suggests you answer the question 'What are you doing?' on a regular basis. You can do this on the web or by phone, the latter being why it's so popular apparently.
It also has an option kind of like the flist, but it's called 'following'; you can select people who's messages you want to watch.
As you know I don't have a cellphone and I can put most of my messages online in my journal or blog, but since I'm a sheep I had to follow the crowd. (or more specifically follow certain people. I'm not a sheep, I'm a stalker;)
