beelikej: (Well if kids are out at midnight)

I haven't done much posting in the past week, due to a massive mindfuck at work and being very busy with stuff outside of the internets. Yes, I did not know that was possible, either;)

Welcome to new people who put me on their flist; I feel honoured that you consider this journal interesting enough to follow on a regular basis. Don't be shy to leave comments if you have anything to add to my ramblings;)

Ahw, I bet you are dying to know more about the picture above. Well, I met up in Amsterdam with [livejournal.com profile] artistic_sillie yesterday and because of a footballmatch between The Netherlands and Scotland, the city was filled with loads of lads in kilts; we didn't know where to look! It sure was fun to check out all those manly legs, wish I had brought my camera:)
Besides the overwhelming amount of footballfans, we also spotted two Dutch celebrities: veteran talkshowhost Sonja Barend was walking by when we were sitting in front of The American BookCenter and in the cinema we were in line behind presenter Daphne Bunskoek, who was very bouncy and -omg!- tiny! (And who wasn't allowed in yet, unlike us two vips *g*)

[livejournal.com profile] artistic_sillie and I spent our afternoon talking (about fandoms;) and bookshopping and went to see The Curious Case Of Benjamin Buttons, which we liked and recommend. (I am hunting for one particular screenshot of mr. Brad Pitt and his low hanging jeans and briefs, ready for action on the mattress. What? For research purposes, obviously. The scene reminded me of his performance in Thelma and Louise and I'm planning an essay on the history of film. Stop sniggering.)
Anyway. We rounded off our day with curly fries at BurgerKing and walked back to the station with perfect timing: we had just enough time for goodbye-hugs before catching our trains in different directions:)

It was a very good day, I updated my booklist.

Today is a lazy day. A pajama day even. \o/ I love Sundays at home. *happy sigh*

I still have no idea who these people are, but yay anyway! And a very definite yay to the men in kilts ;).

New books, yay! I should really post an update of what I've been reading. At one point, I'm sure I'll get to it *g*.

*gasp* I can't believe you don't know either of these women; they are famous! FAMOUS I tell ya!
I've never really was aware of the appeal of men's legs, but some of those look pretty good under a kilt. *g*

I'd love to read about what you're reading;) I started in The Tales Of Beedle The Bard yesterday.

Hehe if it helps: I've been reading the Weetzie Bat books, The Giver by Lois Lowry which blew me away, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, and am currently reading Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk (the one Time To Dance is based on) and a short story called The Yellow Wallpaper.

Will do a proper post soon though, I hope ;)!

Ah, Neil Gaiman, a familiar name; I finished Good Omens a while ago, review will follow (I already did a tiny cryptic bitch post on it *bites lip*)

zOMG: read The Warlock's Hairy Heart (from the aforementioned Tales) and it's totally about me. Identify much.

It waaaaaas! :)

I'm still baffled by her lack of size.

P.S. Got your mail.Thank you! Probably will be lost in fandom for a bit, so if you don't hear from me for a while, know that I'm enjoying myself:)
