Cycling in Amsterdam; it doesn't get any more Dutch :)

Went to Amsterdam yesterday to take a look at brotherdearest's new (half) apartment. He has a bath! Did I mention he's my favourite brother? *grins*

After admiring his new place, we went to his girlfriend Benthe's new student-room to hang out for a bit. Together we cycled into town. I usually walk through Amsterdam; the town sure looks different from a bike's point of view! We did a little shopping and had dinner at Vapiano, a highly recommended self-service pizza/pasta restaurant (I had Pappardelle Carbonara with a Mango-Strawberry smoothie). We rode back to the center of town for icecream from Ben & Jerry's, which we ate sitting near the water until dusk.

Who wants to see pictures?

To catch my train we had to race through the Vondelpark, which was a very special experience, since it was still full of people at night:) I managed to make my connection to Schiphol-airport and got a direct train home; an hour and a half uninterupted readingtime \o/.

I had an awesome day.
