Counting down to Xmas and Bday

Every December I remember how awesome it is to get papermail. I received your Christmas card, bflyw; what a lovely artsy photo! Eeek, artistic_sillie; got your package! Opened the card (heehee! *smishes*) but will save unwrapping the presents until Saturday to treat myself to some additional anticipation *grins*.
I also received an envelope with instructions in Dutch to 'not open until the day after Christmas'. I don't recognize the handwriting and there is no return address.

My birthday is four nights away; I'm already excited:) For the first time in my life I made reservations at a restaurant. I feel very nervous grown up.

:-p *shoves* Hey, I've been to restaurants before, although it is very rare for me to eat out. (I was treated to dinner in a very fancy restaurant for my anniversary at work earlier this month) but I've never actually made arrangements all by myself.
At least I was smart enough to pick a place where dressing up is not required *grins*

OOOhhh! You got the card :-) Glad you received it before Christmas. I love that photo! It's one of those lucky shots where Amaya and I play with the camera :-) I have one of those cameras where you can flip the screen.... so I just flip it towards us and hold the camera as far away from me as I can, and just snap pictures. Amaya loves it - because she can watch herself on the screen and then see the pictures on the computer afterwards. lol :-)

I love that you had original Norwegian text on the card. So many cards over here only have English on them, which I really don't get. I say promote your own language!

There is very many Christmas Cards here still with Norwegian text. Christmas cards has had a very special meaning in Norway since WWII (when the cards with the traditional norwegian 'nisse' (elfs) were forbidden) so I think the tradition with the Norwegian text will last for a long time as well. Some icons you don't mess with!
