Honeys, I'm home!

Back from London and still in a bit of a buzz.

As soon as I had emptied out my backpack and freshened up from traveling on the train for about seven hours, I snuggled up in my loveseat with my still unfinished big book. You would think that the trainjourney back and forth plus three nights soaking in a hotel bathtub would be sufficient time to finish reading 554 pages, but I occasionally struggle to grasp John Irving's language and constructions and even though I find his latest book (Last Night at Twisted River) easier to follow than his previous novel (Until I Find You) I am going to need a little more time to get to the end.

Since I have a SPN/CSI marathon weekend planned with artistic_sillie (who's coming over tomorrow afternoon) I won't have time to tell you all about my amazing visit to London for a while. But I had a great time, despite being away from a computer (and the internet) for the past four days (4!!!). I didn't even miss it! It's a strange feeling;) My dinnertable is filled with presents for myself (No I did not compensate the lack of computertime with buying stuff. Shut. Up.)

More about my theatre visits and all the books I bought later. Maybe I'll post some photos tomorrow morning, if not then after the weekend;) If I missed any relevant posts, leave me a link!

I definitely find Last Night At Twisted River better edited than Until I Find You, which could have done with a bit of trimming. It took me some time to get back into Irving's style of writing, but I find myself caring about the characters again, so that's good;)

I had planned to post pics today, but I hadn't realized I made about 150 photos, which 'what the hell, non-tourist'? I won't be able to make a selection until after Silvia gets me back on track with SuperNatural. (Long overdue I know) I truely hope we will have fun, despite the crying I heard in fandom *bites lip*

I did not cry! We started with some old SPN eppies to get in the mood and to build our strenght for the final. (Absolutely not randomly picked episodes in which either Sam or Dean 'got some'. And hey! Your icon is from one of those, ahw:) Hmmm, guys getting some. Yes, very niiiice.

Ahem. The final was nice as well. (Okay, maybe not nice, but also very intense;)
