Wow, I've read a lot of fanfic this vacation. Here are some more recs from this year's J2_SPN BigBang. Sadly I only have two links to art this thime, because I was so needy for words, I completely ignored the artwork. I plan to rectify that later and will focus solely on the BB art sometime in the future, because I'm sure I've overlooked some brilliant artists. But for now, have some awesome authors:

FICRECS:
Write Your Name All Over My Paper Heart by [livejournal.com profile] toxica939 - The one where Jensen isn't a miserable, tortured artist type (that's Milo's role) and Jared is an Adonis. - Sweet, sweet highschool fic with insecure Jensen and solid as a rock jock Jared - [NC17] 24,500 words (TIP: read the one shot prequel first, link in masterpost)

A Heart Like An Artichoke by [livejournal.com profile] simplymarvie - In order to save a career-making real estate deal to build a condo complex Jensen needs to spend a week working in the Community Gardens to convince the neighbourhood that he's taking their concerns seriously, even if he thinks they're full of crap. Jared is the Community Organizer - Dumdumdum... Grown up characters, intelligent dialogues. How will they compromise? Romance and something to think about, I like the combination:) [NC17] 50,000 words

Times Like These by [livejournal.com profile] _doodle - Based on Sweet Home Alabama (but author has only seen trailer;) Five years ago Jared Padalecki ran away to Hollywood from small town Texas and made it big. With an Oscar nomination and Genevieve Cortese for his fiance the only thing that stands in the way of his happy ending is Jensen Ackles: his husband back in Texas who refuses to give him the divorce he wants. Going home Jared finally has to face everything he left behind. - I loved the film (but didn't agree with the ending) but even though the concept is the same, this story has only the set up in common. I especially loved the family dynamics. Warning for sadness. [R] 53,000 words

Be Kind, Unwind by [livejournal.com profile] nohwrah - Jensen is an overworked projectmanager, Jared is the massage-therapist that helps him relax, but also kind of winds him up in the process. - *grins* Nice build up, the author takes her time getting them there, but it's a very satisfying story. I especially liked being in Jensen's headspace during the massages. [R] 50,000 words.

The Tragedy Of Life by [livejournal.com profile] lizzywinks - The only luck Jensen seems to be having lately is bad – he's accidentally come out to his family and been disowned (sort of), had his lyrics stolen by his best friend (now ex) and he is one late rent payment from being thrown out on his ass.
But things finally start to look up when he meets his hot new neighbor, Jared, and of course that's when Jensen has to go and get himself killed.
Turns out the afterlife? Not all it's cracked up to be. And his death coach is kind of a douche, too.

Extraordinairy storytelling: I laughed, I held my breath and I may even have cried a bit. [NC17] 54,000 words.

ARTRECS
For Here Burns The Candle Out: artist [livejournal.com profile] erushi - only two pieces, but especially the coloured drawing is an excellent depiction of the feel of steampunk. The artist nailed the time period.

For The Ramblers: artist [livejournal.com profile] spn43v3r - huge collection of handdrawn pencil art, I like the style and set up of these snapshots of storyscenes.

No BigBang-post is complete without me promoting the authors who inspired me and shamelessly linking to my own BB artwork *grins*

Know of any (other stories) I should read or art I should check out, let me know!
