I'm still struggling with my artwork for the spn_reversebang. I'm trying to do something completely different from the SPN_J2 BigBang, but I haven't managed to get a good grip on the design yet. I'm planning to lock myself in the house this weekend and not sleep until it's done. I'm looking forward to that, actually (mostly because I will motivate myself with tons of chocolate;)

Glee premiered on Dutch TV yesterday with a double feature of the first two episodes. Based on the squee on my flist I had expected something as funky as the BBC's Beautiful People. But unfortunately it did not even come close. I didn't feel a connection with any of the (rather cliché) characters and the painful jokes fell flat. I had been hoping for another series to get into, but this is not the one for me.

I'm still clinging to The Big Bang Theory, which is on every weekday. I'm not too happy when the focus is on Leonard's crush for Penny, but I so love it when Sheldon gets all scientific on any subject. Plus I covet his clothes. If only I was a tall skinny guy.

ETA: Jelle got a bit upset about my response to Glee (in my Dutch Blog). *bites lip* Maybe I should give it another try next week?

Glee does get better, the first couple of eps were pretty dire. I'd say give it another go.

Okay. Seeing as there are now a couple of people telling me to not give up on it yet, I'll try again next week.

I was rereading my post and thought I should have used 'caricatures' instead of cliche. The main problem was that I couldn't relate to any of the characters. But I understand that's one of the things that may improve in later episodes. We'll see...

Glee gets a LOT better. Then it gets a LOT worse. Then it gets a lot better again *g*. Honestly, it's one of those very rare shows that I can love one week and hate the next. But I did start caring about a lot of the characters over time (you'll have to watch it just for Kurt and his dad, honestly).

Yay, Big Bang Theory! If only I could get away with wearing plaid pants *g*.

Ooh, the reverse bang! I actually send off my submission email today! (Expect mail soonish. :'3) I'm not done mind. I'm planning on coloring one of the prompts (I send in two) with waterpaint, and the other will require some hours in Photoshop... *rubs hands* :'3

*bites lip* It seems like everybody has already sent their stuff in. Eeeep. I have some sketches done, but the mod I spoke to implied that the prompt should be a completed piece in order to woo authors and I haven't figured out how to finish my main design yet. I can't believe it's taking me so long, but I'm confident I'll pull it together this weekend. (I plan to send in one piece and then make one or two additional pieces should an author pick my prompt (oh, that's not gonna be nervewracking at ALL).

Photoshop, here I come. Oh wait, they're singing on tv again. *skips to couch*

Really? My stuff is far from finished. I mean, prompt 1 is a 'finished' pencil drawing, but there isn't a speck of color in there yet, and prompt 2 is definitely not finished yet either. The mod that replied to my email said it was okay though.

But finishing a design and adding to it later is a good plan as well. :) Good luck!

Well, I felt scolded when I dared to suggest I'd hand in a sketch. Maybe it was just me;) Either way I'll feel more accomplished when I can show a finished piece. Of course tonight I got stuck on the couch but tomorrow.... *clicks play on vid again* *g*
