*scrolls through flist* Ahw, to see the excitement of the SPN-fangirls. I remember the days when there were still a lot of CSI-fangirls (and boys) on my flist who got all enthused about the new season. WHERE ARE THEY NOW? Yes. All smitten by those Winchester boys. *glares*. I miss you all, you know. Wish you would still squee with meeeeeeeee.

Because despite my hanging out in the J2 part of the SPN fandom, I'm not giving up on my OTP in CSI. *clings* You'll find no spoilers here, but I was most pleased to see both Nick and Greg in the first episode of Season 11. (E-le-ven. Beat that, SPN;)

So. I'm mixing fandoms this weekend... now that I have -finally- watched the new CSI, I'm returning to work on my ReverseBang artwork. BECAUSE I GOT CLAIMED. \o/ I will not reveal the identity of my author yet, but how ironic cool is it that we know each other from the aforementioned Nick/Greg fandom? Very cool, I say!

Especially since I had a bit of a bummed out day; this is that time of the month when I wish I had a bath-tub and could just soak in hot water all day. Instead I curled up in bed with my laptop filled with fanfic for comfort. I also slept a lot and forgot to feed myself properly. I'm feeling better now though, I think the worst is over. Time for some soup!

Oh, if you're interested: I updated my booklist; among other books I bought The Fry Chronicles and four books by Virgina Woolf, the latter because of the gorgeous artwork on the cover, but also because I obviously need more female authors on my to read list *scolds self* - any recommendations? I hope to write some reviews tomorrow.

I actually watched CSI today, and liked it for the first time in a long time. I might even get tempted to write a Nick/Greg again.

I'm still peeved Ray gets to do so much work, that is becoming really ridiculous. But Nick was there, Greg was there and they both got to be heroes plus shared a slash worthy moment, so I'm happy:) (Even happier that they still inspire stories;)

Yeah - it was Ray doing so much - and Riley's small visit to the series that eventually killed all my enthusiasm for the series. I had to step away completely, even removed my nickngreg membership. But I am ready to become a member again now. I want to try to bring life into my old Nick/Greg love. :-) I've started to re-read old catlover2x and Kennedy stories to get into the mood!

Oh, if you want to rant, please join our new episode discussion? We have issues with the bomb-chick. *puts fists up* (Where was everybody else in the lab anyway? We want Wendy!)

Ah yes... I miss the old CSI days. With a fandom so big, you'd think you'd hear more about it.

Going to make the prompt meme in a moment. I'm really hoping on a prompt that will spark my imagination and creativity. :D

I hate it when people move on; why can't things just stay the same?*pouts* It's hard to get used to new people when you miss the old crowd.

Oooh, the prompt has already inspired several people, woohoo! See, I should have more faith in fandom. I EVEN GOT MY PROMPT FILLED.

*Waves frantically* I haven't jumped ship for SPN, never fear! I haven't had much time for squeeing & general fangirlishness lately, what with school and all, but I never miss an episode :D Even if there is far too little Greg and Nick goodness sometimes...

*waves back* Well, to be honest: when it comes to fandom I myself am splitting time between Nick/Greg and J2, but I don't watch SPN and really mis squeeing about CSI episodes with others. (Or you know: ranting together about the lack of subtext-opportunities;)

Honestly, I've been splitting fandom love too, between CSI and figure skating. With not a whole lotta new Nick/Greg stuff over the summer, I needed something else to squee about, and it just kinda took over. *shrugs*
And I agree, it's much more ranting than slashy goodness when Ray gets so much screentime >:[

To the Lighthouse has one of the most exquisite pieces of writing ever in the middle - and one of my favourites. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm looking forward to trying it! I decided to read the books in the order they were written, so I'll start with Mrs. Dalloway and then right after I will read To The Lighthouse. I'm taking them with me on the bus tomorrow.

I meant to message you about a book I just read. I think you might like it: The Bride's Farewell by Meg Rosoff. It reminded me of George Eliot's The Mill On The Floss, because of the state of mind of the main character and the style of writing. I haven't written a review yet and am still contemplating how much I liked it myself, but it felt like a story and person you might love.

(I did write about other books by Meg Rosoff: Just In Case, How I Live Now and What I Was)

I've only read Mrs Dalloway but I thought it was amazingly written, so I approve!

I have very dutifully caught up with all the new episodes that premiered this week, and I will at one point catch up with CSI (though maybe you should just force me to some time :D) but I am currently on an epic CSI:NY binge, I'm marathoning episodes like you would not believe. *hides*

That's the first I will read tomorrow, since I decided to read Woolf's books in the order they were written:)

Hey, you're more than welcome to join [livejournal.com profile] artistic_sillie and me for a SPN/CSI marathon in the future. Even if you're a traitor to Vegas. *glares*
