My evening in pictures
Oct. 28th, 2010 11:19 pmLeft work half an hour earlier to go pick up my new passport at CityHall. Except for the photo (which I'm very pleased with by the way:), it didn't look any different, even though I had had to give 4 (four!) fingerprints two weeks ago. Huh. I wonder where they ended up.
I asked if I could keep my old passport because of the funky stamps from Ecuador, Turkey and the USA. I did get to take it home, punctured with holes, but with the stamps intact \o/
I love the piece of art on top of City Hall, too bad I didn't get a picture when it was lit:

I also went shopping tonight and scored some good stuff (50% off!). Look at my new clothes:

2 shirts!

2 hoodies! (the grey is actually green)
Yes, I bought the same shirt and hoodie in different colours. I liked the fit and print that much:) Plus I can totally mix and match!

Socks from the bio/nature shop. I have such love for the off white thermo/airco sleepingsocks (one size fits all); they warm my feet in seconds. (Also perfect when I'm not sleeping:) - I was quite upset when I had to resort to socks during the night; my body's thermostat has changed dramatically in the past year, grumble, but these socks really made me feel so much better.
I'm trying the "Norwegian" grey socks for the first time. They look snuggly, don't they? I'm especially looking forward to wear them with my army boots.
On top of all that I treated myself to two showergels: almond and orangeblossom.
Oh and I bought macadema-chocolate chip cookies. But I ate them all before I took pictures:)
P.S. Read a whole book today on the bus back and forth to work (and a bit on my afternoonbreaks). I forgot how fast I can read in Dutch. Now if only I could write reviews as fast *grins*

Date: 2010-10-31 09:09 am (UTC)I always make fancy colour-copies of the stamps, seals and visas before I get a new passport, but so far I managed to keep all my old ones. Once the girl behind the counter even consciously kept the US-visa intact, because "Oooh, that's still valid, so I won't cut it up like the rest of your passport". For realz. That would have been fun at US customs.
