I wrote (and sent!) a job-application. Djeebus, that is more stressful than joining a fandom challenge and waiting for an author's response to my artwork. *bites lip*

In the meantime I'm still in the middle of the fight against the cut in hours at my current job. I did manage to sent in my objection on time and received a response from the unemployment agency two days later. My letter was grounds for a second round of action; they sent my boss a copy to give him an opportunity to oppose my arguments and then I will get a chance to counter his reply. After that a final decision will be made. I just hope everything will be resolved as peacefully as possible. No matter what happens I still have to continue working there. Obviously the atmosphere is not as comfortable as it has been for the last sixteen (16!!) years *sighs*

I plan to do happier posts in the near future. I got some fun and distracting stuff lying around;) (See also this post with delish nsfw fanart of snuggling men)

*hugs* I'm glad you made it to the second round regarding your objection. I hope it goes well and peacefully, too.

I heard about a book today and thought of you. It's called The Columbus Affair. It's fiction but uses historical facts as well about Christopher Columbus. I heard about it on the radio and sounds fascinating, so I'm definitely putting it on my list to buy. Have you heard of it or read it by chance?

And yay for getting through the job application! \0/

*hugs back* I have no idea how much time the bossman has to reply to my objections, so I'm once again back to waiting (im)patiently.

I have not heard of that book, let me know if you recommend it! I don't have a lot of books left on my bookpile. But I'm making myself finish them all before I buy any new additions;) I plan to try Amber Benson, have you read any of her books? *points at icon*

Still haven't had a reply on the job application. I hope it's just because they collect all the responses before picking candidates. With no experience on writing these kinds of letters before, I'm just really curious to know if my letter and curriculum vitae were at least somewhat decent;)

*hugs* Job-hunting sucks, especially when you've been happy in your old job. But I can imagine that all the legal stuff makes things rather difficult. :(

Fortunately I never had to hunt for a job: I met my current boss while I was doing an internship in the company he was freelancing for. We got along great all these years, so it's difficult that communications are somewhat shut down at the moment. I just take the whole process one day at the time.

*hugs*
