Waiting for my sparkly merman to arrive
Jun. 17th, 2012 03:03 pmWhile I'm waiting for a couple of decisions by other people about my life, I haven't been in the mood to update. But I did make some significant photos of things that happened in the past week.
Monday June 11

When I arrived at my busstop to catch the bus home, I discovered the still perfectly fine shelter had been taken apart. Wonder if the new city-council plans on putting up one with their brand new logo or if they just took it down for the fun of it. To be continued... I hope.

I still have some blobs of Cookie-dough in the freezer from my latest baking experiment And just like
rabidfanpromised; the longer they stay in there, the better the baked cookies look:) I found out they are especially delicious if I eat them when they are still warm from the oven and not completely hardened yet. Omnomnom.
Tuesday 12 June

This is how I found my bike at the busstop in Z. The saddle-cover reads: "Is your bike safely parked here, or could we do better? Tell us at cyclingtothebusstop.nl". Ehm, seeing as my bike was surrounded by vandalized bicycles, WHAT DO YA THINK? *rolls eyes*
(FYI, this usually happens to bikes that are parked overnight during football-evenings, so during the day my bike is relatively safe)
Wednesday 13 June
Another photo with text related to football in my Dutch blog (because it's probably only funny and/or relevant for my Dutch flisters) Triggerwarning for those who are allergic to football, Germans or Bratwurst. *g*
Friday June 16

Couldn't resist buying this funky shampoo; it does smell like yoghurt. Can't wait to try it :-D *shivers* FYI: the new bra fits perfectly \o/
On Saturday I finally sat down to start reading Casket of Souls but in the afternoon I had to get out of the house to buy bag of crisps (chips). Since that meant I was in the vicinity of a store I had to continue my search for a fitting blouse and I tried on some clothes. Not only was I not succesful, I also found out not everyone is aware of the unwritten rule that when the curtain is closed, the changing room is occupied. As if clothes shopping isn't already awful enough. WTF.
At home I treated myself to some goodies from Diamonds Of The Sea even though they don't deliver internationally. After a bit of a search I found a shop that does and even though this costs more than the item itself, I just had to get myself a sparkly merman. Fingers crossed the parcel manages to cross the ocean! Can you guess which one I ordered?
Today I made a list of all the books I read and still need to write a review of, it's a little intimidating.
I would go do the dishes now, but
tanisafan caught up with me on Casket of Souls, so I'm going to snuggle up on the couch to do some synchronized reading, so we can squee-chat later:)
P.S. Once again words fail to express all the blah that's going on in my head. I hope to get a better grip on the future next week.

Date: 2012-06-17 04:20 pm (UTC)And really, what the hell is hard to figure out about a curtain being closed means occupied? Too much for some people to handle I guess.
You're in my thoughts, hon. ♥

Date: 2012-06-17 05:10 pm (UTC)I didn't look through all the mermen(?) but now I want to know which one you picked, they all rock! I am very fond of the 'denim' one, heeee.
And I stick with my original sentiment of, "That is a LOT of books". Good luck with that ;).
