beelikejYesterday I finally dyed my Panic! At The Disco shirt, (iirc I bought it at the concert in Amsterdam in 2011). It doesn't fit, so I can't wear it anyway, but I want to let my mom turn it into a pillow:) The original is white, I used olive green paint powder. Process and result in my photoblog :-)
Today I build the office chair that I bought at Ikea two weeks ago. (where I met JDM, remember?;) I had left the box with all the parts closed while I was sick, because I didn't want to be interrupted by coughing fits while putting the thing together. I wanted to fully enjoy the experience *grins*
My voice returned yesterday and the barking cough is practically gone, so I figured I'd go for it today. Let me introduce you to Markus:
Markus comes in several colours, I chose grass green.
Step 1: checking all the parts.
Step 2 + 3: connecting the wheels (5 x Click!) and connecting the elevator mechanism to the bottom of the seat.
Every Ikea build comes with an oopsie, this was mine *blushes*. Fortunately it was impossible to screw it together the wrong way round, so it didn't take long before I figured out how to connect the back-piece to the seat. (Hey, chairs look very different on their sides, don't judge me) Had to keep it up with my feet to be able to reach the screws.
Are you kidding me, Ikea? It takes two people to lift that chair and put it on top of the wheels? I don't think so. *huffs and puffs* Ha! Tadaah!
[Fun game suggestion: see how many of the five pictures in my screensaver you recognize! *grins*]
Spot the difference: this is why I replaced my old chair. It was stuck on the lowest setting. Even with a pile of pillows it felt like I was sitting in a chair for toddlers. On the left Markus at his lowest, on the right he's up high:)

Isn't he darling?
Don't worry about my old chair; he is promoted to honorary cinema-seat and will spend the rest of his days up in my attic:)
While Markus is settling in, I'm continuing with other chores; moving furniture, cleaning house and doing dishes, trying to not spend every minute checking my inbox for responses to my BB-art. *shifty eyes*
