Project Cleaning House, part 1

Last week I promised pictures of the uncluttering process (the number 1 chore on my "I should really do this when I have time"-list;) Instead of forcing myself to do all of the cleaning in one day, I decided to adjust to my personal limited attention span and just do little bits every day. That took the pressure off and I can now take time to say goodbye to stuff;) The photos below show the progress from the past few days:)



This is the back of my living room, the corner across from the computer-area. It's kind of a dumping-area for stuff I don't need to sort out immediately or things I find around the house, like lost buttons or pens.


I already mentioned I bought a new bookcase; isn't it darling? (I put it together myself!!) I had to move my moodboard from the wall, but it just fits so perfectly in that corner.


Tadaah! Yes, this is after, shut up; I know it still looks kind of cluttered on the photo, but I threw so much stuff out. I just happen to like putting up random images everywhere :-p Notice how there is still room left on the shelfs for more books, yay! I also cleaned out the locker, so now my (board)games are all neatly put away.


The green lamp is moved to the other side of the room; the magazine-rack that was there found a new place in my spare room. The boxes scattered all over the floor are filled with either stuff for the thriftshop or trash:) All the papers and left over stuff on the table has been sorted out and put away now (really).


This was the spare room this morning. I already started on cleaning it out (and moved the magazine-rack in the corner). I managed to exchange the storage boxes on the ground for a set with blue lids (because the lightgreen looked more like yellow and that just didn't work;)

Tonight or tomorrow I'll continue; time to find out what I collected under that bed! Dundundunnnnn...

Ooh, between the pic of Butch and Sundance, the "Snakes on a Plane" poster, what appears to be James Dean(?) on the wall, and your Dr. Frank-N-Furter icon, it grows quite apparent that we share a brain. Your taste in movies/actors, I like it! XD

But-but-but -- where are Sam and Dean? O_o

. . . and why do you have half-a-man standing in your living room? ;)

That is indeed a James Dean poster (close up!) No Sam & Dean, but ... Jared and Jensen are hiding behind the door in that bedroom:

As for the half man, ehm, he kind of goes with the other body parts I have in my house? (photos at bottom of post;)
