Counting down to 2013

beelikejI finished the final load of laundry of the year, cleaned dirty dishes for the last time and am now ready to cycle to my mom's to celebrate New Year's Eve together. She's working until about midnight, but I'll waiting to light the sparkles as soon as she gets home and then we will enjoy the neighbour's fireworks from her balcony. (Thanks to new laws people have been allowed to light fireworks since 10 a.m. this morning, it's impossible to ignore all the noise and I'm not looking forward to cycling, grrr)
After the broken elbow in 2011, I hadn't thought 2012 would become an even more turbulent year. Fortunately it also had many beautiful moments with family and (new!) friends to treasure. Thank you all for being there for me during the crisis at work. The issue is still not resolved, but I learned that I have more important things in my life than my job. The new year will no doubt bring more stress, but I now know whatever happens won't be the end of the world.
I got a lot of comfort and joy from participating in several (online) projects, so my best wishes come with one of my favorite artsy creations, especially dressed up for the new year:)
