I'm working on a picspam post for my Nick/Greg fandom, but in the mean time let me share another set of showermusic. Note: I don't only have showers when I make these lists *grins* I got up extra early to enjoy a long one this week, here are the seven (7!) songs my Ipod randomly selected for me. Links lead to YouTube vids.
Doe Maar - Eerste X (From the 1982 album 'Doris Day en Andere Stukken')
This was the band I fangirled in the 1980s. Dutch song about *doing it* for the first time. It doesn't go as planned;)
Four Star Mary - Pain (From the Buffy The VampireSlayer soundtrack and the 1998 album Thrown to the Wolves:)
Lenny Kuhr - De Troubadour (Winner of the 1969 Eurovison Song Contest, YES, we WON!)
I love her voice and this is such an awesome song, full of rrrrrrrrrolling Rs. Not sure there are many hard Gs, as I tend to not be consciously aware of those in my language. If you're wondering what Dutch sounds like, I feel this is quite representative. Everyone can at least sing a long with the lalalaaalalalaylala *grins*
Oh, look: there is a coloured version as well! The song is, indeed, about a troubadour, a strolling minstrel, who sings tales of woe and good luck.
Queens Of The Stone Age - Another Love Song
(2002, Songs for the Deaf) \m/\m/\m/\m/\m/
Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent
(2007, Favourite Worst Nightmare) Possibly the best lyrics of this bunch of songs:)
Panic At The Disco - Valerie (The Zutons Cover, 2008)
Ahw, Panic babies (vid includes slideshow!). Not one of my favorite songs, but I put everything sung by Brendon on my playlist. He still has such a boy-voice on this, bless.
The Specials - Ghost Town
(from 1981, another nostalgic nod to my teens, thank you Ipod;)
So how many of these do you know? Got a song on your mind you want to share? Sing it to me!
