Except for flying to Ecuador I didn't do a lot of traveling the first week of my vacation. Since I wanted to be able to speak the language before backpacking through the country, I spent the first two weeks in the capital Quito to study Spanish.
So no wild adventures -yet- but if you're interested in my experiences with school, food and people, here are the links to the first days in my travelblog:

Nick is pretty scary when he's angry and that scene in Snakes when he is shouting: eeeep. So for a change I wasn't too happy he was on my mind.
