How I found my bike at the busstop yesterday evening:

Cycling to work in the morning was rough; because of the snowstorm I could hardly see in front of me. But I managed to get to the busstop on time, only to find that the bus was 15 minutes late. Have I ever mentioned my busstop doesn't have a shelter? Waiting around in the snow was no fun.
I'm going to Amsterdam tomorrow afternoon to see my brother's girlfriend performing on stage in Angels in America. I had planned to go to work in the morning, but with the weather turning all wintery I don't want to run the rist of getting stuck on the way there or back, so I have now taken the whole day off to dedicate all my time on traveling to the Big City;) I have Friday off too, so I'm having a sleepover at brotherdearest's apartment.
Will tell you all about it on Saturday!
How's the weather where you are?

Date: 2013-01-16 03:20 pm (UTC)We're cold, too. Not like you, obviously, but for us? It's pretty cold! Overnight it was about 36 degrees F...that's like 2 degrees C...so we're all agog! It's been in the high 40's and low 50's during the day (9 to 15) so that's still really cold for us. You know me! Never happy. 110 F (43) in the summer? Hatehatehate! Should be *happy* with the cold, right? Hatehatehate! Never satisfied!
Enjoy your day in the "Big City"! Sounds exciting. Let me know how the performance goes.

It's about minus 3 (27 F) and it's supposed to get colder next week. I don't mind that much, it's just that I always think the cold is over after December; snow still takes me by surprise.

Date: 2013-01-16 08:56 pm (UTC)Did you build any snowmen? I tried with Sam & Dean, but it was a lot harder than I thought!
Need to check special snow schedule for trains to Amsterdam now. I understand the weather is worse in the West... It will be an adventure.

Date: 2013-01-19 01:50 pm (UTC)It was such an impressive version of the play. Of course they had to make some changes to get it from the original 5 hours to 1.5 hours, but it was wonderfully done. There were now five girls playing Harper (B. was one of them) which was perfect to show her state of mind. Halfway throught the play everyone (except Prior) changed parts which gave it sort of the same feel as the original (where one actor plays several parts). In the second half B. played Hannah. I loved how she did the phoneconversation with Joe, when he calls her from the park in the middle of the night. Standing ovation was well deserved. Excellent evening.
