beelikejIt's the final day of my spanish classes and profesora Maria Mena brought a game of scrabble. I guess I learned enough, because I win! For our last conversation class I take Omayra to the internetcafe, to tell her about all my blogs and show her the possibilities of the web. The student becomes the teacher;-) Woohoo, no more homework!
After lunch (rice + green beans and meatballs) Helene and I go to Parque Caroline where we sit in the grass all afternoon and talk about life. We also go to the supermarket, because I need to buy food for my trip tomorow: no more convenient home-breakfasts, lunches en diners!
At night we go to an English pub (Queen Elizabeth) to hang with Johan and his girlfriend. It's fun, but around eleven I've had enough (not a people person and since this is a touristy bar, there is a lot of smoking) so I go back home
Note to self: no matter how cute, nice, sexy or promising the person, don't you EVER accept an invitation again to 'go out for a drink' if there is the slightest change of people smoking while you are at your destination. I repeat: DON'T GO, no matter how bored, horny or social you are feeling, you will hate yourself when you get home. You prefer to be able to breath all the time and you like your skin, clothes and hair clean. The smell will be with you long after you left the evil smokers behind. Remember this!
Next day: backpacking to Riobamba
