I'm not always cynical
Apr. 8th, 2014 09:47 pmToday was a pretty good day. I started with a quick shopping trip during my morning break, treating myself to new showergel in a fancy bottle, which I had wrapped as a present (even fancier!).
When I got back to work, I went online for a theatre ticket and found a rather intimidating queue - this is a screenshot after I had already been in line for 10 minutes (the site crashed right after the theatre opened at 11 and I had been refreshing like mad until I got access)....

o_O
After three and a half hours (!) it was finally my turn and then this happened:

Aaaaaaaaaargh! But the theatre's had assured other people on Twitter that it was possible to check other dates, so I tried to reach booking in another tab (worried that if I refreshed this one I might have to end up at the back of the line again) and I got in, woohoo.
My first preference was already sold out, but I did manage to get the last(?) ticket on my second optional date, so I'M GOING TO SEE KEVIN SPACEY ON THE LONDEN STAGE AGAIN, yay! Very excited and curious about this play, because he portrayed this Clarence Darrow before: on stage in Inherit The Wind (in Oct. 2009) and in (TV) film Darrow, I was fascinated both times. He is my favorite actor, for real. (Sorry, JDM;)
Now I need to make arrangements for travel (not sure if Eurostar train is still the best option) and hotel (the one with the bathtubs obviously;)
During lunch I received a package from The Bookdepository with the long awaited book 7 from the Nightrunners'series by Lynn Flewelling: Shards of Time, which I started reading on the bus home and I'm loving already *clings*.
Last but not least I got to pick up my first ever clothes order from an online department store. I hope at least one of the items I ordered will fit, I will report back on that tomorrow (which may also include an explanation on why I hate shopping for clothes;)
The project I was working on in the middle of all the excitement is coming along nicely too, so whatever happens with the fitting tonight, this day was made of win:)
