Updated My Art Masterpost and yes, I did include that pornthingy, so that makes four projects for 2014 so far. (The ReverseBang designs I presented in January & February were made for the 2013 edition;). Last artwork I made was a commission not related to the Supernatural fandom and I will post about that as soon as my bidder receives the package I sent off last Friday. *crosses fingers*

Now that I definitely won't participate in the 2014 ReverseBang, I started working on a personal (papercut)project. I haven't set a deadline yet, but I'll probably occasionally mention it to keep myself going:)

I signed up for a trial yogaclass next week. Does anyone know what one wears to such a thing?

Yoga? *meerkats* Hope it's a good class!

Wear something comfy and stretchy. Leggings and a tshirt are fine, unless you have other gear that is more specifically sporty. Try not to have lots of bulk in the fabric at the waist, as you'll be moving and twisting a bit.

The thing that I struggle with is finding a good neckline - boobs and fabric combine oddly when you bend over multiple times. Try bending forward in your tee and if the neckline ends up hooked over your nose, find something with a higher/lower neck. It probably doesn't matter at all for a first class, but it's the kind of thing that bugged me sometimes till I realised it was really an issue for me.

It's a Hatha yoga class and I'm more than a little nervous, so I hope I can handle the people at least. If I'm not too intimidated, I plan to sign up for 10 actual classes.

So many good tips, this is really helpful! Thank you:)

Cool. Hatha is the basic yoga style, everything develops from it, so it's the right place to start. It's usually not the fastest or bendiest (but also not the most scary rigorous everything-must-be-perfect, stand still till your legs ache, which is Iyengar, can you tell I don't love it? But I know nice people who do). So it'll depend on your teacher what he/she makes of the class, up to a point. But it's a very good sign that you know what kind of yoga it is. Crappy teachers often just say 'yoga'.

My experience of yoga class when I first started (fat, introverted and on a downswing from anxiety into mild depression, so I wasn't in a good place to wear lycra in front of strangers) is that although you need to find a teacher you click with, they are usually very nice as people. And most people who go to yoga class (especially to try it out the first time) are either stiff/unfit and worried about being the worst in the class or have some minor mental health thing like stress or anxiety that drove them there. I relaxed *so much* when I realised half of us really were there because pills weren't working well and nor was RL.

So I'll stop now. But I hope yoga works for you too :-)

Good to know I picked the right one; I was first considering Power Yoga (I tend to imagine BIG & BOLD choices when I decide I want change NOW), but figured it would be better to first figure out if basic Yoga is something I can actually do. I'm sure my body and brain benefit more from a slow build up at the moment.

Thanks for sharing your experience, that sure eased my mind a little. *smishes*
