Good things: love the fandom love on my flist: spread it around, SPN-people, with your adorable countdown-meme to the start of the season. *rolls around in the squee*. Also; [livejournal.com profile] spn_cinema is starting up a new bi-monthly challenge, wootwoot, count me in!

I felt some love from my CSI Nick/Gregfandom too, but have yet to see the first episode of season 15 (FIFTEEN!) - I'm a little hesitant because half of my otp now has a beard (the literal hairy kind) and the other forgot to style his hair and I don't want to be shallow, but... oh who am I kidding, I watch for the pretty, okay? This lack of consideration for my preferences better get fixed soon!

Not so good: yesterday afternoon we got a visit of some people from victimcare ("slachtofferhulp") at work to help me and the co-worker to -finally- express our feelings about the kidnapping of the bossman in May. Since we had five months to think about that and the consequences, we had a lot to talk about. Yet I had not expected to feel so out of sorts after it; I have not slept well last night and I'm exhausted. There will be a follow up appointment at home with a 'personal' counselor next week. I guess I better make a list of stuff to unload.

More good things: I'm going to The Hague tomorrow afternoon, because my brother scored me a ticket for the World Wide Cinema Event of Stephen Fry presenting his new book More Fool Me. (I may have already mentioned that when I updated my booklist to reread the first two parts of his biography:). He will do the presentation on stage in London, but it will be shown live in cinemas all over the world, so cool. Looking very much forward to that. Will work half a day and then start the long journey to the West:) Will report when I get back home!

Oh, question; would anyone be interested if I did WIP progress posts while I'm working on my own art-project? I'm thinking about sharing to keep me going since it's not for a running challenge. (It would also save me time when I'm ready to reveal;)

I'm sure the session stirred up a lot of stuff that had quieted down since it happened, so that's bound to be unsettling. I think making some note sfor next time is a great idea. It's hard to think of things during sometimes, and then you leave and smack your forehead :-D

Bring on the commentary! I love seeing how things develop.

*hugs*

Oh, I know all about the wish-I'd-said-that forehead slap:) Good thing I have a whole weekend to think about what needs to be purged;)

Looks like everyone is voting to see a bit of my WIP. Hmmm...

I can't wait to see what you decide to do for the Cinema Genre Challenge! You're stuff is always so interesting!

And I would love to see WIP work from you. The progress and the details you provide on it are just as fabulous as your work :D

So thrilled about this new challenge; I've only seen the massive response to the prompt post and looking forward to checking out what's on offer:)

You're not the only one curious about my WIP, so I may just have to follow through on sharing...

Sucks that you feel so out of sorts after that visit from victimcare, but I do think it's good you get to share your frustrations with someone who might give you a little more insight. Making a list for the next visit sounds like a good plan.

Ooh, have fun tomorrow! :D :D

Also, yes. I would def. be interested in WIP progress posts. *makes grabby hands*

Ugh, I was so already done with that whole business, but I will give slachtofferhulp a chance at least;)

Fun was had \o/

Oh dear, had not expected the enthusiasm about my WIP, may just have to share something...

You suffered quite a lot of stress and emotional trauma at the time. When it was all over, you pushed it down and "forgot" it . . . but then you dragged it out again, and basically resurrected your original fears without actually tackling them You've got the right idea in making "a list of stuff to unload." Trust me, you'll feel much better when you do. *snuggles you tight*

Oh, question; would anyone be interested if I did WIP progress posts while I'm working on my own art-project?

Is this a trick question? OF COURSE!!

The stress during the whole ordeal has been replaced by stress about the aftermath it had on business and our jobs. It will be at least nice to talk to a neutral listener:)

So far a lot of votes in favor of me sharing my WIP. I hope to be able to this weekend...

I'm glad that they had someone available to talk to. You've gone through a traumatic experience. It's good that you're getting to sort it out. *hugs*

I certainly would love to see your progress. I think it would be cool as heck!

Usually victimcare is allerted about a case by the police, but since the kidnapping took place in another country and was handled by higher authorities, they were not informed. The bossman didn't know they were available and it took him some time to reach out for help. He then figured to let them know his employees could do with a talk as well. I have made an appointment for Monday. We'll see.

You may expect a peek at my WIP this weekend... (dundundunnnn) Oh, I am almost certainly also going to do the SPN_Cinema Genre challenge, how about you?

No wonder that session stirr up emotions. Doesn't matter what you feel and what you think... point is - there is always a lot of emotions! And bringing all that up is hard.... but you know - you can channel a lot of those emotions into art!!! And yes, we want to see WIP....

.... and also - I just joined the cinema challenge

Oh yes, will definitely put all my feelings in art; when I checked back in my blog I discovered I had been finding a lot of good distractions in the Cinema Challenge during that stress-week in May:)

YES! Did you already have your eyes on a film-prompt? I only had time to peek at the amount of response to that prompt-post: woah! Definitely looking forward to picking an 80s film and joining in! (Love the relatively short turn around:)

I haven't had time to look at the prompt post yet - but it will be done - soon! And then I have to check the time for the claim again.... don't want to miss is.

According to my calculations 10am CST is 17:00 (5pm) our time. Which means I will stay at work to claim tomorrow afternoon (and take a bus later to get home;)

I hope the mods will make a comprehensive list of the prompts as there are double titles but also additional ideas in that massive collection of comments. So far I have a short list of three favorites. Fingers crossed!

Thanks. :-)
I am also down to 3 favorites, and if I don't get any of those, I'm out.
