quicky_bang, I found another hilarious and sexy crack story. *grins* (If you're an artist looking for an inspirational short project, I'm extending this round for a bit, so check out the list of visuals on offer and claim a goodie yourself!)
I'm wishing everyone as much fun in fandom as I had with this fic:) I did keep the artwork suitable for all ages; it is completely innocent, so if you want the naughty, go read the story! Without further ado, I present:

Behind the scenes
Sketches I made right after reading, and the coloured version for the author:)

The papercutting only features Jared though.
Testing how to insert the knittingkneedles, I was smart enough to originally make them longer than needed, so I could cut off damaged bits at the end.
Cutting the knitted pattern and trying to give the grey shirt heather structure.
(I coloured the blue paper jeans with darkblue crayon for a roughened up look.)
Dressing and undressing and redoing the knitting needles (I did not think things through, just figuring it out along the way).
The back of Jared's torso; the grey paper had an image on the back, creating this neat effect:)
Artsy photo when I finally managed to put all the pieces together.
Trying coloured backgrounds and gathering courage to draw a face.
There was lots of frantic erasing until I decided it was okay.
Photographing with light source coming from above and below made the shirt look odd.
It makes a big difference whether the light comes from the left or right.
(I prefer the latter:)

For references of knitting hands and posture, I studied photos from TheCraftSessons.com/knitting-speed and I searched images of "people knitting"; I ended up maniping a combination of images from Getty Images and Alarmy Stock Photos.
Font: Bravelot (from TheHungryJpeg.com, a great resource for graphic design, they offer weekly freebies if you leave your e-mail to sign up:)
