I got tagged by
lizphairrulz, so it's meme-time;
Once tagged by this entry, the assignment is to write a blog entry of some kind with six random facts about yourself. Then, pick six of your friends and tag them; no tag backs. This explanation should be included.
Because I barely have six friends on my flist to tag, feel free to ignore this assignment;) But you're welcome to tell me random facts anytime:)
1. I am told I once ate a cigar. I was two. I've tried to avoid tobacco ever since.
2. When my family used to go to France on holiday, we would spend a lot of time going to the beach. The ones with the nude people. I always kept my clothes on. Make of that what you will.
3. I don't kiss. Don't get me wrong: snogging sounds like fun, but I'm talking about that strange (Dutch? European?) ritual of greeting someone by kissing the cheek three times. What is that about? A handshake will do. For close friends I prefer a hug. The kissing-thing makes me feel uncomfortable.
4. I talk to spiders. Not at random, but when they show up in my house. I politely tell them they have three days to find other accomodation. If they don't leave I will kick their ass. Because it's MY house and I don't share. They usually move out within two days. We have an understanding:)
5. I don't drink coffee. I don't like it. I get told I 'should learn to drink it', because it's the adult thing to do. WTF? I tried it, I didn't like it, so I don't drink it. I also don't drink alcohol. Beer stinks, so no thank you and I avoid other drinks, because one addiction is plenty and I like to stay in control of my brain. Chocolate, baby: good for body and mind.
6. Watching 'The Little House On The Prairie' makes me cry like a girl. If you tell anyone, I'll deny it.

Date: 2006-11-07 11:23 pm (UTC)Why were you going to the nude beaches? o_O? Don't get me wrong, I'd totally do that as well, just...I don't know, nude, greasy, old, hair, fat men, is not at all appealing to me...hope you didn't get much (any) of that. And I also, wouldn't go nude...not just because I'm thin and all, even if I got to a point where I weighed like 25 lbs. more and was completely shredded...that's just kind of weird to do. (But I have no problem walking about my house in the buff with the doors open and the shades up. I'm just weird like that.)
So I just tried out the three peck thing (in the air, see how weird I am?) and yes, that would be very awkward. Though I'm all for greeting people with your tongue...=D
Hehe. Good spiders.
Eh. I can't drink coffee during the morning (not that I drink it often, I've just found the afternoon is the only time it'll sit well with me) but yes, Chocolate is LOVE.
Very satisfying post, am glad I tagged you. =D

Date: 2006-11-07 11:49 pm (UTC)Why the nude beaches? Well, because my mom and dad wanted to go there and when you're young you go with your parents? When I was old enough I was allowed to stay on the campsite by myself, but until then they dragged me along. And I don't care about appearances (although I draw the line at nude volleybal or any sport really) you get all sorts in France: young, old, skinny, fat, whatever. My main problem was not being able to avoid the nudity: where-ever you looked: flesh flesh flesh. Plus I don't like sunbathing and I can't read comfortably at the beach (windy, sandy) so I just didn't want to be there. Staying dressed was my way of protesting. And I like to keep my body private. I am not ashamed of it, I just don't like being aware of it.
YayTongue! If only I was brave enough :-p
