The best part about having sun in the winter:
Because I dry my clothes by natural air, inside the house it takes about two to three days to dry. But on my balcony in the sun and wind - cold as it may be - it's ready the same day! Now I didn't have to go a night without my favorite pajamas, woohoo. That's very important if you need comfort;)

I'd like to thank everybody who responded to yesterday's depression-post either by mail or comments. Your support gives me more courage to face work tomorrow, when I will definitely talk to the boss and let him know it's a big issue.
That will -hopefully- solve part of the downwards spiral I'm experiencing at the moment. Unfortunately there is also an issue I have no control over. The statement that I have been depressed without 'an apparent reason' is not completely true. I have been trying to deal with events from the past that I've been feeling guilty about for years. Sadly it didn't work out the way I hoped (or feared) but just like I expected, which means I ended up in exactly the same place I was, before I decided to face the skeleton in my closet. Sorry to be cryptical, but since it involves another person I can't really be more specific.

Anyway... on with life! As an antidote for the sadness, I posted some pictures of fun things I bought the last couple of days: pink diner, new shoes, shopping and my new acrylic computercase (part 1...)

I also was very excited to find my favorite brand of boxerbriefs in bright (and funky) blue! (usually only available in boring black or pale colours) I bought two pairs:) No pictures, but believe me when I say I look gooooood;)

As to the subject-title of this post: professor Ronald Plasterk, whom I desperately wanted to put on my shaglist, is appointed as our new Government Minister of Education. I will dearly miss his sunday-afternoon political comments. It might be a bit inappropriate to fantasize about him now. But one of those - with sugar on top - is still a nice image for my dreamfuture. Sigh.

Yeah, the buying of presents for myself is awkwardly comforting;) I keep trying to find joy in little things. Thanks for the cuddle.

Ooh! Picture love! I would love to try the food out, actually. It looks good. *nods* The bracelets are very nice, as are the shoes (and I don't care much for shoes.) Can't wait to see what the case looks like.

Thank you. On the clothes-issue: I talked to my boss and feel much better. He was really nice about it and assured me we will make sure I will feel comfortable. So at least that part of the problem is solved. Yay for communication! As for the skeleton... we'll see;)

I'll try to get you a recipe (it's basically mashed potatoes and red beets plus cheese, but maybe I can find out how much you need of each. I should remember, but I'll ask Doctor Oscar;)

Our new Minister of Education has brains, beauty and a sense of humour all in one fabulous package. He's the only good thing about the new government, really:)

*snugs* Hadn't seen your other post yet, so I checked it out just now. Feeling bad sucks, but at least you're not really hiding from it, and trying to do something about it. Plus, you know... buying things that are nice does help a little. :P I hope things will smooth out for you soon.

Thanks. The adorable Nick-icon is making me feel better:) I talked to the boss today and that solved a lot of the nervous tension I suffered over the weekend. I am positive we'll work things out.
