Yes, I'm supposed to be working...
Feb. 21st, 2007 02:41 pmI had another dizzyspell while I was archiving and I decided to make a doctor's appointment. I've been too tired and hungry and dizzy for too long. :-( I don't think my pms has extended to an entire month. OMG. That's a horrible thought.
FYI: Mondayafternoon at 15.00. My regular doctor has the day off (lazy bastard), I don't think I've met his replacement before. Oh well... I just hope I'll be awake enough after Oscarnight - which will end around 7 a.m. on this side of the Ocean:)
Went to see the final 'Best Picture'-nominee yesterday evening: 'Letters from Iwo Jima'. I can understand why it made the shortlist, but I fell asleep. And every time I woke up, those soldiers were either fighting or waiting to fight or hiding from the fight. War is stupid yo! I doubt if Clint will take the award home this year. I'll post my definite guess and wish list for the Oscars on Sundaynight.
FYI: Tonight I'm planning to go to 'The Pursuit Of Happyness'
/babbling *back to work*

Date: 2007-02-21 10:54 pm (UTC)Pursuit of Happyness was a little different than expected, I thought the story would be more dramatic. But it was still an interesting enough film. Will and Jaden are both great. One to watch (when you're done with all the other movies I recommended ;)

Date: 2007-02-22 12:19 am (UTC)Saw LMS! Finally! It rocked quite hard ;). I'm still gonna see Blood Diamong and am skipping most of the other Oscar nominees 'cause hey, I'm poor. And I have to be at work at 10AM on Monday so I guess I won't be able to watch the Awards for the first time in years *pouts*. Unless I can find an online live feed somewhere? I could sleep near the 'top and get up for an hour or three *grin*.

Date: 2007-02-22 11:25 am (UTC)Hmmm, I thought LMS rocked up to a certain point. I would really love to hear more in response to my original LMS-review/discussion. (If you feel like it;)
Blood Diamond is of course a very serious movie, but there is also the pretty of Djimon Hounsou to admire. (yeah, yeah, great actor and all that, but 'bwoooah' and a double 'guh' for the body:) I know about you and Leonardo, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it. So to speak. It had me emotional after only five minutes, bring hankies.
I've been experiencing the Oscarnight online ever since the BBC stopped showing it (three years ago). Sadly there is no TV-channel here that broadcasts it:-( Last year a Turkish channel was available online and I used the sound from the Pressroom on the official site and simultaneously listened to the Dutch radio-report. I'm not sure what's available this year, but it's gonna be an allnighter, so as usual I took the day after off:)
