Just when I thought my week would be crappy...

This week work was definitely not my favorite place to hang out, ehm, "work" and it got especially bad at Thursday when we had our monthly meeting (which had been postponed for the last two months - that should tell you how dedicated everyone is at the moment;). I was exhausted after an afternoon of bitching/listening to others bitch. So I wasn't really in the mood to go shopping afterwards, but Thursday is the only night shops are open in town and I had to buy my mom's birthday-present before it would be out of stock.

I had planned to only buy the one book, but as usual I went a little wild in the bookstore and I also bought: two new Classics for my collection (both in Dutch): Mark Twain - The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer plus Cicero - De Oratore and I couldn't resist to finally get my first Manga(!): DeathNote by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, which is published back to front, like the original. It's a very pretty edition.
I received a free booklet because of thriller-theme-week in the bookstore (so not my genre) but to my surprise I got more; the sales-woman was very excited about DeathNote and went to the back of the shop to get me a special banner she was supposed to put up in the window. It's gorgeous: LOOKIT! How awesome is that?! *loves booklady*

Other news: apparently my body feels three weeks is enough to handle a full cycle of girly fun. The only good thing about this is that the main event is now limited to three days in stead of the usual five. But I still wish I could rely on my bodyclock a little more. Grumble.

Also: I have decided I have to travel back in time and catch up with Doctor Who. After seeing yesterday's episode Utopia, I am definitely hooked, especially on the dialogue. I need more.

I kinda started accepting the party my body has every month, since I'm taking the pill. Party starts Fridays, usually in the morning, and lasts till Wednesday. After that, everybody leaves and I'm cool again. +lol+ The pill makes it so much easier to take, since I know I can stop the party any time I want to.

Well I went off the pill a long time ago, since my cycle was like clockwork all by itself. The past year my body has been experimenting though, which was very interesting, but mosly inconvenient;)

Oooo you went bookshopping *jealous*. Yay for awesome booklady! Somehow, you always end up getting cool stuff from everywhere. Damn you :P.

My PMS is freaking out of control this week. I fear for my co-workers tomorrow :P. Hey, sorry you had a crap week at work. Was it just a bunch of stuff that coincided, or a bigger problem? Either way: *hugs you*.

And yaaaay for Who! I'm anxious to find out what you think about Nine and Rose ;).

I know! And this time I didn't even have to beg ask for it! Nor did I turn on the turbo-charm, she simply handed me the awesome banner without any effort from my part. There was nothing I could do about it *g*

Work is the same as it has been for years, it must be the crazy weather that gets to us. We could all use a vacation from work and each other;) Only five weeks to go... We'll be fine, we've survived so far...

I'm not sure if I can handle Rose, but I think I will like the Doctor.

You can definitely handle five more weeks, dahling. And then you can veg! Yay! Hmm I can't wait til August 16th rolls around and I can (hopefully) enjoy loads of free time. Fingers crossed :).

Heh well, I like Rose. I don't have a crush on her like I have with Martha, but she's deliciously chav ;).

And ha, it was just the one co-worker today because apparently, everyone is on vacation. (Heh, look at me, complaining when I have three days off. Tsk.)

I certainly can, especially since I have another long weekend in between plus the anniversary of the first CSI-marathon on July 8th. That will be celebrated with... another CSI marathon :-) Par-tay!

Myes, she was a teenaged pop singer once upon a time, wasn't she? I choose to forget these things ;).

And yeah, I have an exam tomorrow (for which I'm studiously preparing, as you can tell *ahem*) but after that I just have to work Friday morning and other than that I'm freeee til Wednesday. But yeah, thesis should be written because I'm getting close to the 'oh fuck' stage.
There will be breaks for the writing of slashy fic, however ;). A girl's got to relax one way or another, after all!

An exam. Wow. I can't tell you how happy I am not to have any homework anymore, because I seriously lack the discipline to do anything remotely useful when I get home;) Freetime afterwards is a well deserved reward.

Hey, writing is good exercise, whatever kind of words are put together. Of course I'd prefer to read your fic over your thesis, but I support you whatever you are working on;)

Myeah. I've gottan used to not having to work hard and still getting decent grades but I think I underestimated this thing, since I'm not nearly finished. Ah well, it's written, and it's a management type thing, so I'll just use the words 'dynamic', 'flexible', 'cost-efficient productivity' a lot. I'm sure it'll be fine ;).

And hey, I'd rather write fic than thesis, too ;). It'll have to be a healthy compromise, I suppose, in as much as that's possible when you're me ;).
